There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Eye level shot of " Khali " the dominant male tiger of Tadoba Buffer.

It was a dream to see the most elusive male tiger of central woods at a close quarter. On a bright sunny morning over Tadoba, the temperature was steadily rising proportionately increasing our hope for a possible sighting. Smell of a kill was slowly filling the surrounding air and the stifling heat was so intense that it makes you feel uncomfortable. Suddenly, we saw a movement just about the periphery of our vision. Our driver was quick to steer the vehicle towards the direction and we saw this majestic male tiger getting out of the water. He moved too quickly for us to get a shot. Then the real wait began, knowing that he will definitely show up if we behave. It was a pin-drop silence all around. We all waited, holding our breath, to welcome the King. Our collective prayers did not go unanswered as he reappeared to quench his thirst and in no time went back again. He did stop for a while to display his annoyance before disappearing into the bushes though, and gave me a rare chance to make a few images.

This doesn't look like an opencast mine of Tadoba's fringe. Maybe they were digging to expand the pond. Any more info on it?

It was our 1 st Safari of the season, on 25 th April, we were returning back from the Lake side, we saw Matkasur Head on ! it was near the Dhabdhaba area, Tadoba Lake Road. He came down from the Dhabdhaba, went under the bridge, crossed the road, went towards the lake, we were waiting and taking pictures, in the meantime a forest official was coming on a 2 wheeler, the noise distracted his attention and looked angrily at the 2 wheeler and came back and walked on the road Head on for us, and again went up the cliff, ours was the only Gypsy. A wonderful sighting.

"Pench Diaries May 2018.....Bhagoda......A massive Male Tiger seen after a gap of 2 yrs after he had a showdown with Rajkassa....Locals say he bigger than Rajkassa but he looked shy and terrified, Right from whoever spotted him sitting in the trees, A commendable Job to whoever saw him 1st, to the show he put up for the next 20 odd minutes,,, To the jungle coming alive with alarm calls of peacocks from various directions as the king Stood up and started his descent to the water hole to quench his thirst.....An spectacular event"
