There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

He was a powerhouse. A dominant, big, handsome and most loved tiger in his era.
He had acquired a big territory and always believed and behaved like he owns his territory. It's only after him other male tiger's are moving in.
He was at ease with people around him, so in a way teaching us a lesson of living peacefully with wild.

He was one tiger reason for people to love wildlife evenmore..
He was and will be one of the majestic Legend.

You're welcome, and it looks awesome.

The last I've read about him is that he has moved off after Matkasur came in, to the buffer zone maybe(I keep forgetting). I'll try to dig up the response I got about him.

I miss seeing his grumpy face as well, he's one of my favourites.

He’s alive and well, he was spotted in one of the buffer zones a few days ago, I can find out which one later.
Yeah! Thank you! Truly great new!!!
5 years ago, I began to follow tigers' news and topics with some pics of B2, Bamera, Raja, Wagdoh, Munna and Gabbar. But time goes by, we have so many new-boys out there, they're incredible but for me our old-boys, old-veterans just simply cannot to replace, like the first love.

T37 AKA MR X AKA BAMERA SON
Currently ruling the Magadhi zone, initially he had raised a litter with Kankati Jr and is termed as a good father who plays and feeds kid, after the Kankati has left Solo has occupied the Kankati zone and is now mating with him to raise a litter.

Mr X is a huge tiger and has a swag and confidence, in this particular we can see him walking across the road non nonchalantly and not at concerned with the hoards of gypsies around him .. a true alpha male.

It was 3 in the morning. What would a wildlife enthusiast do? I decided to go to UKWLS (most nearby).

Park is open to public only at 6:30 am. I reached there 2 hours in advance.

Meanwhile, I was wandering in the BUFFER (Non tourism) area.

Suddenly, i could sense some animal around. As I flashed the car's headlight - There he was - The one and only - BITTU

Insomnia is good for junglists

Bittu:
Male cub to the legendary parents - Tigers Jai and T6. Bittu, lived in Gothangaon range within UKWLS with his parents . Now 3 years old, Bittu relocated to Brahmapuri range..

“Once upon a time in Tadoba“
Almost 7 years back this male tiger ruled the Tadoba zone from Navegaon to Kholhara buffer. In nature a shy male, he would avoid the tourist vehicles. He is the father of Matakasur, Maya, Junabai and many more. He was the one who fought with Gabbar and gave him lifelong facial scars.
Not to sideline the female in the frame, she belonged to Moharli zone and was the mother of the famous circuit family including Ookhan, Choti-Tara, Madhuri and others. She came all the way from Moharli range and matted with this male. Its interesting to see how well the Tigers spread their gens far way. This image is from the matting series of January , 2012.

Whatever the definition of a legend may be, Uma male would squarely fall into that. That day he was visibly angry on jackals who interrupted in his meal. T-30, Kanha, Oct 2017

Jay (29th November 2013)

Jay was sighted first time on 29th November 2013 at Umred Karandhala - Pauni range before coming to Karandhla Umred range. It was a day when I heard the news of kill of buffalo calf by tiger near my farm at pauni so I rushed their to watch it and I found that the tiger who made the kill was Jai. I recognized him because I saw him already in Nagzira Jungle few months back.

Two famous mothers having a territorial fight. Tara and her circuit gang alongwith Yeda anna moved to the higher grounds of Tadoba range (Devdo area) because Moharli range was flooded due to heavy rains.Yeda Anna was the father of both sets of cubs.

Devdo female on the left had three very young cubs. Tara on the right had four 7 month old cubs. One cub Choti Tara was near this conflict area about 30 meters from Tara.
