There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

A portrait of a fallen king - The Black dam male in all his glory - Who during the years that he was been growing and gaining confidence he did a coalition with other two males, Timbavati male who was seen by first time in Thornybush in 2014 and Marvin (the Monwana pride male).

Tracking down the greats .... What a lion and what excitement as fresh tracks turned into the real deal. Fantastic sighting this week of the hansom and scarred up soldier, Socha and three River Pride females. Without Hosi his coalition partner and King by his side, Socha seems to be working on the next generation with plenty of femis grimace while following the ladies supposedly coming into oestrus. We did however have confirmation in track and sign that Hosi is indeed in the area and still being the fantastic father he is and escorting the remainder River Pride females and their cubs. What remarkable Klaserie lions and what privileged sights.

We also got to catch up with the two Monwana male lions in the very far western section of our concession – after killing the Black Dam male, these males seem to have established themselves as the likely new dominant males of the Giraffe Pride.
