What a lion...

I fell in love with him.
Just 4.5 yrs old and such a big male. These two boys can take shit out of others when reach to their prime if stay together.
In coming yrs, they can become pride males of kambula breakaway pride.

Good to see her. Our princess gingerella.
Any information about the southern lone lionesses. She was alone with her two very young girls( nwaswitshaka daughters). I wonder how a strong selati/ southern pride reduce to just 1 lionesses. Just now watch a video of toulon male VS southern/ selati pride ( it was 2011 video when southern pride was a very strong pride with 15+ members).

I think 2015-19 we're very bad years for southern sabi sands. I guess no litter from selati, Charleston, sparta, sand river reach to maturity during this time.
Mantimahle, Charleston boys  , matshapiri, bboys, we're busy in killing each other children and sometimes lionesses too

I saw a picture posted by an account on facebook of the southern lioness and one of her daughters.  It was on the 19th of January, unfortunately they didn't credit the photographer so I cant find the original post

Amber Eyes got some beating, not sure from who.

It looks like permanent split in Nkuhuma pride between old females is inevitable, as Amber Eyes & Ridge Nose are with PC males and will most likely give birth to their cubs, while Purple Eyes and Chela are staying with subs, which is shame as these 4 are backbones of Nkuhumas (especially now as 3 younger females will prob also split with their cubs eventually).

Yes, thats the Dark Manes gruop of 8.

I think we now have clear picture of Talamatis, that gruop of 9 (with Dark Mane) is seen for months now on WildEarth.

3 adult females are with Imbali male.

Out of this 8, theres 2 oldest females, 2 young males and 4 sub females.

Which means that 1 young male and 2 sub females are missing and prob gone by this point.

Any thoughts Peter? Would you be okay with us opening threads for individual, well-followed Prides?

Up to our lion mods Lycaon, BAO and Timbavati (see 9,102), but I tend to agree with Potato (9,105): if we add threads about specific prides, the result could be a mess. Remember this thread already has over 600 pages (...).

What readers, apart from content, appreciate most of all is overview: they want to know what's where and how to get there in an easy way. For this reason, our aim is to limit the number of clicks.

I do, however, like the proposal. Documentaries about specific prides often draw a crowd and I'm quite sure it would work for a forum as well. The question is how to do it without creating an inpenetrable jungle.

Talking about a jungle. The lion section has many long threads. Not one of them has a table of contents, meaning readers interested in a specific individual or coalition have no option but to start at the beginning. We could do with a bit more overview (referring to a table of content for every thread), but I know it's a big ask.

Nah. Two females which are with Avocas could easly move off to join other two older females and PC males. Nkuchuma subadults are or soon will be ready to feed for themselfs.
