There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

  Lion cannibalistic behavior
Posted by: Pantherinae - 06-27-2014, 11:08 PM - Forum: Lion - Replies (12)
Lions will sometimes be cannibals, I have seen male lions eat other male lions after a fight, just to prove a final act of dominance! But just resently I have heard lions sometimes will kill lions from other prides and eat them. If you have some interesting articles or pictures please share

  Man-Animal Interaction: Conflict & Coexistance
Posted by: sanjay - 06-26-2014, 10:41 AM - Forum: Human & Nature - Replies (255)

A lucky motorist got away with just a SNAP on the wrist - after trying to move an 11ft alligator out of the road. Glen Taylor Bonin, 23, spotted the massive reptile blocking the road during an outing with pals. The carpenter and friends, Kacey Kole Mays, 21, Ricky LeBlanc, 24, attempted to move the alligator by first using their t-shirts to blindfold it. But Glen narrowly avoided serious injury when the irate beast clamps its jaws round his hand and shook him like a rag doll.

Footage: Glen Bonin, Producer: Jack McKay, Editor: Ian Phillips.

  Anacondas in Florida?
Posted by: Siegfried - 06-21-2014, 11:57 PM - Forum: Questions - Replies (6)
Does anyone know if anacondas are also being found in the Everglades?

We know that pythons are already in Florida and that their territorial expansion is limited northward by cold temperatures, but does anyone know whether pythons have been migrating south into South America?

With out getting into an ethical debate about hybrids, this female Jaglion from the same sanctuary is a lot larger than I would have expected.

Yes, we are aware of the ground.
