I dissagree that young Avoca male is not looking like Mapoza male. It is highly unlikely that Avoca females would even consider mating with Xikukutsu males as they were not even quite 3 years old yet by that time and they were born and rised in Avoca pride. Also Xikukutsus and young Avoca male coming from the same pride are closely related from mothers side so nothink strange in that they will look a bit alike. Reply

Whoa, to me, he's starting to look more like Mapoza for sure.  The nose and ridges....overall looks resembles his sire.  Sometimes, when males are young, it's hard to gauge which lion they resemble as their features are not yet set.   He's alone and will need to find a partner, unfortunately.  

He's definitely Mapoza's as opposed to the Xikukuksus.  The 4 daughters do resemble Mapoza much more than the Xikuk. brothers. Reply

A stunner.    I never count out lions but the way it’s shaping, he will soon be left as the lone protector of the Girrafe Pride.    Sumatra could bounce back…..but his decline has me quite concerned. Reply

Lame monwana male, he looks in great condition despite his leg. possibly with the help of the younger giraffe male he has teamed up with, however the young male has not been seen for a long time.
