A lioness apparently killed by a crocodile, even though it seems actual killing was not captured as you can see white patches on lioness body which means she was dead for a while.

Nice find! I have been looking for footage like this (very much looking like authentic and not some edited rubbish). In this it can be clearly seen, that it´s a lion which that crocodile rolls in the water, even though young lioness. Deep enough water and big crocodile is something big cats can´t take lightly, even though in this case (too) male did go for it and took over that carcass. Thanks for sharing this one, very interesting in more than one way! I had never seen before any clip showing that a lion actually gets killed by a croc. And of course this leaves for some people possibility to say, that kill wasn´t seen... but I don´t think that croc would roll over already dead animal in the way as it does in this clip. So I take this as (finally) one for crocs.

Ya, I can also agree.. it is the only video that shows croc killed lioness. Remember it is not easy to film in dark and in that situation

I think lioness was already killed by the crocodile when the filmmakers came across the scene and the crocs were just feeding on the carcass, thats why the crocs are performing death roll to tear the meat.Imagine the filmmakers would have been extremely lucky to capture the actual killing and also the white patches on the skin, tail of the lioness not thrashing around during the struggle(death roll) would indicate that the animal was already dead when the filmmakers filmed it.

No it isn´t, when it´s not some fabricated rubbish as can be seen even in many documentaries. Most likely someone notices a lot of splashing somewhere and then they try to get in filmed asap. So this is looking like very authentic, when they managed to film only last moments of that incident. That male seemed to be used to crocodiles though, since it didn´t let that to bother him. Maybe it knew that river better and crossed it so, that able to fight if necessary.

At that point, when they managed to film it, it for sure was drowned. But not for a long time though, that could have been some last rolls when croc still wants to be sure, that no fight there anymore. If it would have started to tear flesh, then more likely it would have changed bite a bit to be able to tear off limbs. Anyway in this case it looks very clear, that crocodile made that kill and it´s very rare to see.

Some people for sure say, that they shot that lion and threw to the river etc. Still even though big cats usually seem to handle crocodiles very well, it´s just common sense to understand, that big crocodiles are dangerous especially when water is deep and big cats can´t walk/wade. I believe, that this was authentic situation even though they couldn´t film whole situation.

I agree with you on most part, except that the lioness was dead for long time when it was filmed.
To make my point clear i took a screenshot at the time of death roll.As you can see the face of lioness has white patches all over indicating that the animal had been dead for some time.

@Gkumar  When footage is that low quality because of darkness, I don´t make too big conclusions based on some traces, which can be reflections etc. If that lion would have been killed longer time ago, I find it odd, that it would be still in that good condition and not ripped to pieces by crocodiles. They don´t usually keep any breaks to rest when something is caught.

Anyway many possibilities there about time window and in the end I don´t see it so relevant. More relevant, imo, is that the scene looks like something which has been filmed in same place and in relatively short time. In many documentaries they use shots from different times and even places to create scenes like they do when filming fictional movies. So even though this leaves it slightly open after all, that was that lioness killed by crocodiles or not, as said, I see this footage to be most likely very authentic and easy to believe what narrator describes.
