Beautiful photos of young males, the future rulers of the Sabi Sands.

From Londolozi Game Reserve, The Best Birthday Present Imaginable:
"A young male from the Tsalalala pride takes a brief rest. We followed the pride for two hours as they took an early morning walk through the bush."

"A sub-adult male, without a pride of his own, attempts to join the Tsalala pride. In this image, one of the young males of the Tsalala pride finds himself a little further from the comfort of the pride than he would like as he comes face to face with the older and slightly larger intruder."

"Another Tsalala pride young male in the morning light. Almost two hours after we joined them, they were still wandering through the bush."

From Londolozi Game Reserve, The Best Birthday Present Imaginable:
"The thirteen strong Mhangeni pride rest up on the perimeter of a quarry. We drove into the quarry to get a unique view from below, which allowed me to capture this young male with an uninterrupted back drop behind him."

"Another young male of the Mhangeni pride rests above us on the quarry edge. This was an amazing photo opportunity, one that I will remember forever."

No, the ones that are in Charleston males territory are the two Sparta young males.

That is the third Sparta young male, who then joined the Mhangeni pride for a while and now has dissapeared, I don't know why.

I'm confused, how many males are The  Tsalala now, 3 or 4 (with the Sparta)?

1 of the Styx also had been injured by the Charlestons and was missing since January but eventually he showed up in very good condition.

I wish this 3rd Sparta to show up as the Styx soon.

I was wondering how the Ximhungwe male will fit in this new scene, with so many other 2 or 3 member coalitions taking gradually their position in SS.

the 3 Talamati are the sons of the Northern Matimbas

and Nkuhuma Junior is the son of the Southern Matimbas, Hairy Belly-Ginger,
do they (the southern) have other offspring, apart of the two new  female cubs of the Tsalala lioness?

No, the encounter of the Styx male shad been with the Matimbas, but that had been last year, before the Birmingham takeover.

I'm not sure, but if they do, there has to be with the Nkuhuma pride, maybe some young female.

They had cubs with the Styx pride, three ofg them, but the Birminghams killed them.

Just 3 males. The Sparta male left the Tsalala pride and then joined the Mhangeni pride for wuite  along while, where he was even accepted. But then he dissapeared, I don't know why or where he went to, so now in both Tsalala and Mhanegni pride, there are just 3 young males in each.

Two Sparta young males are in the south of Sabi sands. They are on the good road now that they've learned to hunt.

The last I've read about them is that they're in the Kruger. Still nomads, but with good prospects of becoming dominant males again, apparently they have good options in that territory.

The young Nkuhuma male is back with his natal pride. It's strange the female shave accepted him, considering they have newborn cubs fathered by the Birmingham males and Junior could kill them, but for now he's there.

Also, if the Birmingham males happen to find him there, well..they'll carve him a new name, in the best of cases.
