Look out UMA, there's a new force on the Mukki Block, I wonder how he'll be able to hold up with the battle tested beasts that reside there.

Pranjita Barman
Presenting T46 from Kanha National Park, one of the biggest tiger that I have personally seen. An extremely shy male who can go to any extent to escape the tourists gypsies. On this occasion, we got him after patiently waiting for him for over 2 hours on a cold winter morning. Many thanks to our naturalist Naren Malik, for without him this sighting would not have been possible.

Pranjita Barman Vincent I have been informed that T46 has ousted Garhi/T50. In fact T46 was seen mating with MB3 a couple of times.

Pranjita Barman Thank you. I would say he is huge but not like Uma male. The head size is much smaller than Uma. In fact head size is smaller than CM too. Though otherwise his size is closer to CM. The sighting happened in Mukki zone. Exact location I understand shdnt be shared in social media.

T46 is new Male tiger seen in Mukki and is believed to be one of the suphkar cubs from Ronda range.

Pranjita Barman Thanks. T46 is relatively new entrant to Mukki. Widely believed to have overtaken garhi male’s territory and was also seen mating with MB3.

Mukki's ' DON ' means umarpani, Munna's son. Father [MUNNA BAGH T-17] is now old but t-30 has deposited the whole capture on his empire. Well, its biggest enemy is the younger brother of this, that is the cm [SMALL MUNNA LINK 7] Sir. Often there are war in both, both their own places are strong and namechina tiger.

Just look at a glimpse, you will get some peace.

that’s incredible, he travelled all the way to MH side of pench. the amount of challenges he must have faced, considering he’s an old male but a very seasoned war veteran. won so many fights to rule for a decade and sired maximum number of cubs. RaiyaKassa is a true legend of Pench, MP and his extensive history itself is nothing short of amazing. I just hope BMW is somewhere out there thriving.

MP Tiger Family settled in Gujarat? The villagers said - The tigress seen in the forest with the cubs

*This image is copyright of its original author

In the forests of the Mahisagar, the tigress has been seen with its cub following. Local residents claim that Shigamali has also seen tigers and cubs pugmarks and claws scratch marks in Lunavada.

People say that here the tigress is searching for a tiger. On 10th of February, there was news of the tigers found in Gujarat. For which the Forest Department had verified it by searching it in the forests of Mahisagar.

However, later a tiger was found dead on February 26. On the death of that tiger, wildlife lovers were frustrated because they were considered to be the only tiger on the soil of Gujarat. Lion, Leopard were already here, but the tiger was extinct about 35 years ago but time to time appearing to locals for long time. Now there are local residents claiming to have seen a tigress and his cubs in the jungles here.

At the same time, on February 26, the FSL report was prepared on the dead male tiger, in which it was alleged that the death of the tiger was due to lack of food for a long time. Forest department officials have now become alert on the information about seeing tigers in these forests which may also starve.

The initial assumption of the forest department is that a family of tigers has entered Madhya Pradesh from Gujarat. In which the dead male tiger must have been separated from his family. The team of forest department has again started searching in the forests. (Really, that theory sounds like S8)

My Opinion: I believe in Locals who have been saying tigers are there in border Gujarat areas. This is not said by one man. Many people are saying this over years, we can't say that all those hundreds are dumbs. But, yet FD confirmation is important to recognize and authorise it officially and take conservative actions. Whole family of Tiger from MP, went on a vacation to Gujarat, an adult male from its family is separated like a child is ridiculous or absurd theory and quite incorrect.

There were many times, tiger presence confirmed in dangs and other areas (See my reply to Lycaon in Big cats news thread) from Maharashtra. So, over these years slowly a tigress is moved to Mahisagar fragmented forests elusively and been searching for Males by marking its presence there. This MP transient male which is also looking for same thing attracted to her and mated resulting in cubs before dying. Remember that, he came months before photographed by local teacher. So, this Maharashtra tigress gave birth in these months.

P.S. It is just an opinion.

Hope FD finds their presence atleast now by camera trap but not leopards like before.

The absolutely Gigantic Rayyakassa. His nose bears the scars from his territorial fights with other males. He's aged but still as huge as a tiger can get. And he's back in the territory he's always ruled. Now chilling with his babe, Langdi ?

“The tiger could have entered an area where there is a lack of prey base and hence could have starved to death,” he said.

Quote:A tiger expert, however questioned the preparedness of the state for tigers. Forest officials said that for the last three years WII had written letters alerting Gujarat that a tiger was heading towards the state. WII officials said that Gujarat government did not react in time and develop an area conducive for tigers.

A senior officer from WII said that there was lack of political will as creating a sanctuary exclusive for tigers would mean the government will have to shift people from the Dang or even Lunawada which could have created an uproar.

It usually takes four to five years to develop a sanctuary and an adequate prey base. If they responded to those letters since 3 years, Gujarat already had a Sanctuary prepared for tigers.

The WII officer said that had the state begun taking measures it would have at least had adequate prey base to support the single tiger?

The officer said that even now the state government should wake up and start taking steps to develop a sanctuary.

Quote:“With tiger population on the rise, there is a possibility that Gujarat Evil will soon see another tiger entering the state,” said the official.
