Skorro Jr seen in Singita.   Not a great area for him to be in. Hopefully the pride hadn’t followed him there

Vitamin D, through its action as a steroid hormone regulates gene transcription in cells & tissues in the body, enables the body to eradicate TB by stimulating the formation of a natural antibiotic in white blood cells, the mechanism of which was discovered in 2006.
In addition, the mineral boron, which is lacking in a lot of African soil due to commercial fertilizers, helps because it increases the half-life of vitamin D in the body and makes it last longer.
Cod liver oil and sunshine truly do help to get rid of TB due to the vitamin D values.
It has been said that taking 10,000 iu of vitamin D per day will get rid of TB totally.
How vitamin D is metabolized is genetic in families with some metabolizing it much better than others, which I suspect also happens with lion families.
Human redheads can produce their own Vitamin D. As they can't sufficiently absorb Vitamin D (it's down to their lower melanin-concentration), redheads internally produce their own Vitamin D when they're exposed to low light conditions. I wonder about Skorro Jr, because he had the reddest fur of the brothers and he did not get TB it seems.

Can someone give me a summary of the situation of this male and the Othawa Pride?

How old is he? Is it likely he can hold up until his cubs reach independence or is there potential threats close by?

How many cubs he/his coalition has and who are the mothers of each cubs? If I'm not mistaken the pride has 2 old lionesses and a younger adult one who is a Majingilane daughter, right? Is she the daughter of the older 2?

There is a GREAT summary done by @Tr1x24 Of the Othowa Pride in their own Thread.  I highly recommend you go and subscribe there and read up about them there.

quick Othowa summary:  there are 5 of originally 6 cubs alive with the Pride from two litters.  One born appx March, then second one appx -May of 2021.   Currently, 4 girls and a single boy.   The mother of the oldest litter is Sassy (Littermate to OM but their mother was killed by hyenas when they were cubs) and the youngest litter mother is the  lioness known as Junior Mom who is 1/2 Mapogo Daughters and Pride matriarchs.  The second older Lioness named Auntie is sterile and cannot bear cubs.  These two older lionesses Are sisters to Sassy’s fallen mother.

Skorro Jr, is named as such after his father (Skorro Thanda Impi) who he bears a remarkable resemblance to.

The Tumbelas were 5 males born into the Nharu Pride between December 2015-Feb 2016.  Of these 5 original members (there’s a 6th brother that’s named Lambile and is 1/3 Tintswalo whom protect the mbiri Pride which I don’t count as Tumbela) only three made it to Sabi Sands and took over the Othowa Pride in late 2020.   Two of those three have died in last 12 months leaving Skorro as last Tumbela.

Regarding his chances to hold the pride and territory,,,,well, it all depends.    There’s mounting pressure via the fledging coalition of Nhenha and NK, plus the two PCMs whom have all encroached into the Tumbela territory and have already had confrontations.   With the loss of his brother now he must succeed alone.   Quite a tall task but not impossible.  Especially if the other two coalitions remain occupied with other prides.   That buys Skorro more time.

What a job he has!
He's surrounded by some formidable coalitions of lions out there.
He's lost the Tsalala lioness/cubs to the PCs and the Ximhungwe lioness to Nhenha/Nkuhuma, and he knows it, too.
He's working hard to save what's left. But maybe Gingerella or the remaining Tsalala will turn up in his neck of the woods and stay.  We'll see.
They're both excellent hunters, beautiful and healthy lionesses.

Based on Savanna Reserve vlog, Skorro Jr. is staying low profile and away from Othawas :

This is concerning, as if thats the case, then he will surrender to Nhenha/NK or PC males eventualy and leave this area and pride.

But lets wait and see.
