Repost from @Sgarbi, Skorro Jr. still not seen in western sector and Othawas:

Looks like our boy indeed went nomadic after he was seen keeping low profile recently, and prob moved from western sector after months of holding his ground against neighbouring and invading coalitions.

He will pop out somewhere.

He realized he can't protect them alone?

Perhaps he'll wander around awhile like Nhenha or Dark mane did.  He may even find a coalition partner somewhere out there.
I'm sure he knows instinctively that there's no sense in taking a stand alone against these two coalitions.

I hope the ladies can keep his cubs alive and the two coalitions just worry about each other.

Its a bit to early to speculate. He may just have trouble trying to find them.

Seeing both he and the pride are trying to keep their heads low at the moment. The typical roaring and scentmarking is not a option.

So what's the latest? Are they still seeing his tracks around? Seems the guides aren't saying much

I am wondering the same thing. Rather disconcerting, how do they know it's his tracks, is it possible he may have had some conflict with someone, perhaps the PC boys? So much to speculate over, with no news either way. As tightly close as he was with that pride, ultra tolerant with the cubs, etc... I'm finding it ever more difficult to believe he simply left them like that.

The harsh reality of nature. Male lions arent in it for the cubs, but just to exploit the pride for food and mating.

In return they offer some protection from other males.
But if they cant do that anymore. There is pretty much zero reason for the pride to keep him around.

My thoughts are same too but no injuries on PC boys or Nhena in the recent images.

I dont think any fight happened, atleast nothing points out to that.

Latest sighting/report of Skorro Jr was that he was staying low profile, which indicates that he "surrended" and become nomad.

Why we dont see him in western sector? Because if thats the case, he prob just left the area.

How long before a lion is admitted dead? Three months of absense?

i think he met some rivals and got killed.

Even a lone male can provide some protection vs predators and subadults.
Darkmane is alone, OM was alone and females didn't leave him.

Its waaay too early for such conclusions..

He is not seen just for 1 week or so lol.

And if he indeed turned nomadic, he prob just left the area and keeps low profile.

So yea, lets wait and see if he shows up somewhere, before making such claims.

Red Road however was kicked out for an while after the pride lost confidence in him.

Its a cold cost benefits calculation and I cant imagine the Tumbellas leaving that much of a positive impression with two dying and one not putting up much of a fight.

When a lion is declared death highly depends on the circumstances.

A sick lion that goes missing during a takeover in one of the most observed areas of a reserve is declared sooner death than a healthy one last seen entering a dark area.
I think its to early for Skorro. But it wouldnt surprise me either.
