As i said, he moved out of western sector.
Thats not unusual, that ousted males return to once their natal area, as that area still is familiar in his memory. He is actually not in a bad area for lone male to be in, plenty lone males like RRM, Imbali/s8 male, Skybed and Kruger male to the east, Tintswalos are biggest coalitions but have injury problems now, so yea, he is still very young, i dont fear for him. 
He already endured a tough nomadic period, one that was fraught with lost and injured members of his coalition, if nothing Skorro Jr is a survivor. Right now, after hearing the good news, the cubs and the pride's survival is what I am most concerned for.

It's a shame he abandoned pride, in all the sightings he looked like one of the best dads I've ever seen, but he's safer than staying and trying to hold out against other coalitions in greater numbers. I hope he finds a coalition partner in this area that is inhabited by many lone males

Yes, he was really good dad, he did what he could and buy them 3-4 months since NK/Nhenha and PC boys started to pressure them. He did seem a really good and tolerant father, but was confronted with insurmountable odds. Perhaps he didn't feel as threatened as the PC boys have made him feel. Well yea, he beat Nhenha 1 vs 1 and made him retreat, also rangers said there where tracks of Skorro Jr chasing them both around that time, as far as i know, there is no report of Nhenha and NK chasing Skorro Jr. But anytime that PC males arrived in his territory, he was the one running, PC males look much more confident. Now will be interesting to see if PC males go for NK and Nhenha aswell and try to claim whole western sector, how will this turn out. 
It is indeed odd that he bailed now.
He had to be careful this close to rivals. But its not like there was a price on his head and there is an active takeover going on. This situation already went well in the past few months and could easily have lasted longer. Neither is there any evidence of a fight. Same with Limper really. Nhenha has never lacked for confidence, never hesitant to muck it up with anyone, perhaps losing Tinyo and his pride has put a chink in his armor. Not to mention, NYM has had a really tough life, so I am not sure his confidence hasn't been eroded for a very long time. I also don't know that pre-nomadic Nhenha is chased by Skorro Jr. Then again, he did run from Mohawk, but he also had Blondie in the wings and Tonyo was on the other side of their area, so there is no way to fully know why things happened the way they did. These PC boys seem a rough pair, Nhenha and NYM might do well to avoid them too. I believe taking the pride from HB, in a bloodless coup, had to have given Skorro Jr a lot of confidence, because the entire coalition was lacking in that in the beginning of the take over due to their tough times. Just the sight of HB would send them all fleeing, and he was certainly not in any condition to fight anyone at the time. Skorro Jr didn't really ever receive much support from his brothers after becoming Othawa Pride males, everything he got, he got himself, surely giving him confidence. His previous hard times made him more realistic in his expectations and understanding of the possibilities. The four lone lionesses in the area are of great concern as well, PC boys have exhibited a penchant for destroying those too. PC Males are really wreaking a lot of havoc for just two lions. |
