As you said, Nhenha is still in top shape, despite his age, he is not injured or in bad condition to feel weak, he was always one of if not the most dominant of his brothers, so its not like he will "forget" that and submit to younger male. NK male is still inexperience in this stuff, he was lone male and then briefly with Styx male, with who he never fighted for mating rights, atleast it wasnt seen. On the other side, Nhenha is fighting for mating rights with his brothers for 6-7 yrs, i wouldn't be surprised that NK male was confused why Nhenha is attacking, if he never encounter that. Also dominace is not only show in case of fights for mating rights, until now, NK male showed that he is "leading", always leading the way, roaring, first approaching Othawas and chasing/submiting Othawas, while Nhenha was more taking secondary role, but I guess mating opportunity after ~ half a year of nothing, awoke him again.

Also saying the Nkuhuma Male is just as big as Nhenha is similar to saying Ginger was just as large as HB or Mfumo was also just as large as Nhenha. But Nhenha and HB were still physically larger in frame and size. You can also tell the physicality of Nhenha when he easily dropped the Nkuhuma Male with a single paw. He does not need his claws and teeth to be sharp when he can just physically overwhelm you. Nhenha has always been scary in a fight. He gave Tinyo more wounds in one fight than the Avoca Males. Whether Nhenha won or lost against the Tumbela Male, he still came out of the fight in better condition with Skorro having a few injuries.
As soon as these females are pregnant, males will wander off and sesarch new ones.
Lions are a notoriously infertile species. So it may still take months before they do. If they even decide to do that.

Not sure what is happening, looks like 2 younger females (or 1 older and 1 younger) are attacking older one, possible 1 of the older females are trying to rejoin the gruop who are with Ndhzengas, as they came in and calm down the situation. We saw how quickly Gingerella got kicked from her pride after being gone for just a few months. So it wouldn't surprise me.
Especially seeing how much the dynamics in that pride has changed recently. I guess she lost her scent passport. That's different, the Othawa Lionesses saw Gingerella as a threat to the cubs. There is no cubs for the Kambula Lionesses and the infertile lionesses had gotten away with bringing new males into the territory for years. She must have pissed off the young females.
Its hard to get an exact figure. But I have seen figures ranging between a 40 percent chance of pregnancy each heatcycle or 1 out of 5 heat cycles resulting in pregnancy. I don't know how this relates to other animals. But it apparently is noteworthy enough to be spread around as a factoid. It also may include mock mating.
In any case those two will likely be distracted for a while if this is a serious take over of the Ximhungwe pride. Weird, 40% per cycle sounds quite high then compared to the human 25-30% per cycle. Definitely sounds like a factoid
