There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
Irrelevant? Its isn100% relevant. Elder male lions do hunt, will hunt, and are very capable of hunting from all the videos and info that I have seen. Regardless of area, Mara, Kruger, Mozambique, etc... an older male lion has to eat so if he has nothing to scavenge and has an opportunity to hunt then he will, doesn't matter if a veterinarian treated him for a non human related injury. What does the Vet intervention have to do with an older lion hunting?

Beautiful and adorable family of 11 cubs in Styx pride. They're doing very nicely! Their three of four daddies were seen busy with one of the Kambula Pride females. One male in particular was very interested in mating with her, so much so that he blocked the lioness from going anywhere close to the other two males.
In two separate sightings: Two N’waswishaka male lions are still in the presence of one of the Kambula Pride females. One of the males and the lioness were still mating, but she did not seem too interested and kept wanting to move off but was blocked every time she moved. Not too far from where we had found the two N’waswishaka males and the Kambula lioness, the Kambula Pride itself was resting under the shade of some trees with full bellies.

Note: It seems Nhenha was leaved behind in Londolozi while sub adults group of Kambula pride moved far south into Sabi Sabi.
Well. Nobody would want their old man tagging along and raiding the fridge when they move out. Same for lions I guess.
Nhenha may try to head back to the Kambulas now. Which may not be a healthy idea if the Nwashakas are still hanging out there. Then again, they may be why he left with the subs to begin with. So he may go nomadic now.
So the next couple of days may see the demise of the Birmingham Boys in some form or another.

I hope that Lioness got out alright though.
We will have to wait to see what happens, Tinyo still could be alive but hiding somewhere.
One of the N’waswishaka males and one of the Kambula lionesses mating, but after they noticed some vultures flying and descending in the distance, they followed them in a haste. The vultures were surrounding a kudu carcass and quickly chased them off and started to feed.
