There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

It's male. He had a litter mate, a brother, but he sadly died last February.
He will turn one year old next month.

That's unfortunate, his chances would have been better if he was a girl.
I hope he is at least spared the same fate as his father.

Talamati Pride. It's amazing that there are close-ups of these beautiful lions on the video.

We found tracks of female lions and cubs and immediately started to search. Our excitement grew as we continued to follow the tracks, and to our delight we eventually found the Styx lionesses with their cubs! The females had successfully made a kill, and to top it off, we counted seven cubs moving around the thickets. The cubs were new to having vehicles around them, so we kept our distance and sat quietly to allow them to feel comfortable. A beautiful sighting!

After what happened with her last litter, she deserves a break.

What is the latest on those subadults? Haven't heard much about them in recent weeks, especially as they are in the Western sector which usually has good coverage. Or have they moved off?
