There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Both are looking good. Tsalala Lioness hasn't had any problems hunting by the looks of things. Great news!

Hope is nothing serious for the young male, but we need to give credit to 2 Bboys, they are doing excellent job defending their territory at the age of 10, with many males hanging around lately, definetly an underrated and powerful duo.

Marlon du Toit: " Four large male lions on the hunt for buffalo. They were right on the heels of a big herd & were solely focused on sinking their teeth into the hind quarters of a cape buffalo.

Male lions are incredibly powerful & buffalo are their preferred prey here @sabisabireserve. Yes, dangerous prey to tackle, but the reward for hard effort is a large carcass to go between 4 male lions. An impala simply won’t do. "

" These hungry male lions were seen once again following the scent of recently passed herd of buffalo. On closer inspection, we noticed that they were a lot closer than expected - they may continue follo"wing until the time is right for an attempt to hunt. "

Marlon du Toit: " A rather curious young male lion peeks out over a sandy hill to keep an eye on some unsuspecting zebra.
The young male, along with his brother, “staked out” a waterhole. As the dry season approaches lions as well as other predators will often spend time at waterholes. Animals like zebra, impala, buffalo, giraffe & more drink daily. It’s dangerous & might play right into the hands, or shall I say paws, of the waiting lions."
