Mala Mala update 04-01-2020

The Nkuhuma pride was seen on all 3 days. They brought down a very large buffalo bull near Wild Dog Rocks. 4 members of the Torchwood pride were also found in the north. 1 of the Gowrie males and 3 lionesses from the Kambula pride were at Princess Alice Pans.

Nkorho update 4-5 jan 2020
The young Nkuhuma male made a kill during the day and was guarding his kill from some Vultures
We left camp with some rain falling down us and found the entire Torchwood pride resting to the south east of the lodge

MALAMALA TODAY: January 4th.

Lions: 3 sightings were recorded involving 2 different prides and 2 male coalitions. The Nkuhuma pride continued to feed on their large buffalo bull kill near Wild Dog Rocks. Their wasn’t much left at the end of the day and they’re bound to be on the move again tomorrow. One of the northern Avoca males was found to the east of Mlowathi Dam. We followed him as he walked westwards, roaring frequently in response to one of his brothers. Both males eventually met up at Mlowathi Dam. One of the Gowrie males and a lioness from the Kambula pride were mating at Sand Pit Crossing.
