There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Howard Cleland: " a coalition of three massive male lions that killed and devoured a juvenile white rhino over two days. The flies were buzzing everywhere and a Sanparks ranger was stationed in a vehicle (windows up) waiting to collect the horn once the lions had gorged and moved on. They were the three biggest male lions I've ever seen. Here one of the lions pulls the rhino over. "

" The fight or flight response, or the acute-stress response is a physiological reaction that occurs in microseconds where under a real attack your brain will instantly decide to either flee or stay and fight. This wildebeest experience just that. It gets up and instantly thinks to fight. However, this lioness is a mother and has mouths to feed. There’s no going back. Popularized by BJJ guard players, she pulls guard where she believes she can eventually take an advantageous position. She bites down on the neck of her opponent whilst holding the back of its head and strangles the wildebeest dead. It’s like a weird mix between a triangle and a guillotine.  "

" While a lioness weighs on average 150kg, a black wildebeest will weight around 180kg. 30 potentially 30kg, 65 pounds difference, the lioness attacks her prey, takes him down, takes his back and goes for the choke. "
Filmed in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe.

Lions hunting a big buffalo at night. We don't see very much but don't let us forget that lions see 10 times better than us in the darkness.
