There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Coalitions of Kruger National Park

The 2 Trichard males lions roaring in response to hearing the 2 Shish males calling nearby this morning.

Barely 2km separate the two lion coalitions, and tonight may be a telling time for either coalition, as both seem intent on staking their claims to disputed territorial boundaries.

We had followed these 2 well fed lions to water, after finishing off an impala carcass they had stolen from a leopard early this morning.

these guys are always having busy days

1/2 Hippo Pools males rushing to run vultures off a kill. Haven't seen how they react to other scavengers, but they're definitely not keen of vultures!

He looks okay actually despite being skinny, seems pretty mobile and has his son with him. He could go a year more probably with regular meals.
