Birmingham Pride of lions

Yeah it's definitely the breakaway oldest male... I think a few people IDed him in the comments.

And I agree @Potato they are avoiding the Ross Males. The male at this point is completely split from the pride. He hasn't been seen with them in month. The females are interesting--- these older girls are adults (3.5 to 4.5 years old) and could rejoin the pride but they seem to behave like the Torchwood breakaway females who still avoid the Kruger Males.

Saw this on instagram, the birminghams feeding on a kill. Looks like the whole pride is back together, excluding bym?

Birminghams were on WildEarth today, early in the stream we had the mother of the December 2020 cubs, with one of the sub-adults (maybe her daughter?) and the cubs themselves.

Later on at night there was a good portion of the pride laying down in the dark, the mother of the December 2020 cubs was attacking the chasing the sub-adults if they got too close to her cubs.

Meet "Osindile" (the survivor) - 4th April at Ngala Private Game Reserve entrance road

Osindile was born late in 2016 and will soon be turning 5. I got to know this gorgeous boy during lockdown last year shortly after the pride males, known as the Ross males, attempted to oust him from the renowned Birmingham pride of lions and in the tussle broke his rear left leg which literally had me in tears! I watched religiously every afternoon to witness the adversity of lions and gradually he managed to keep up with the pride, and stay out of trouble with the 2 male lions, barring a few more ruff and tumble occurrences. Male lions of this age have normally been ousted around 3 years of age. Osindile was again chased away, if I have it correctly two days prior to our magical, but brief sighting, and was softly contact calling when we saw him. He got up, called and strolled down the road and according to the livestream from Ngala, was again reunited with the rest of his pride, Ross males being elsewhere with 2 of the lionesses who have just had cubs

I dont think those 2 older lionesses are in estrus, otherwise 2 Ross males would definitely mate with them..
