Some things will never change, at least in terms of Tyson. Same reason BYM was so severely injured, and that group of subs is now out roaming, too soon for the white male as well. He and Fabio have produced a lot of cubs, and done a really good job of overseeing the pride, but man is he ever rough on those young males.

Not unlike Sekekama, who killed his own son of similar age for the exact same reason. Lets just hope this young male doesn't endure the beatings some of the others mentioned have by him.

Thats normal behavior of a male lion.

It is very rare that a male lion kill his own offspring, even if they're trying to push him out of the pride. Let's hope they won't  do it.

There were moments I thought they might kill BYM, but of course he isn't their son. Some might say it's actually more surprising that they allowed him to stay/live when they first took over the pride. But, he still isn't in the clear, seems to be remaining in the general vicinity, but not sure Tyson will risk a 1v1 with him at this stage.

That is exactly what pride male should do. If he won't chassed sub adult males off then the new cubs will have much smaller chances of survival. Same as it is in Kambula pride now - with so many mouths to feed and with youngest being last to feed they would often be left with nothink. It is time for young males to start feed for themselfs.

Life as a young male is rough. But these seem to be in a especially rough spot now with the new cubs born.
They are big enough for their needs and strength to become problematic. But to small to go out on their own.

Its probably best for them to keep their head low and hope they can last another year in the shadows begging for scraps. Or at least until they figure out how to live on their own.
