The Club footed Ndhzenga male, one of the subadult males from the Kambula pride and the two lionesses with two cubs scuffle over a Buffalo kill. Kambula male showed that he has no fear in the adult male and is nearly the same size as him.

I think this is one of the oldest kambula male. Might be 4.5 yrs old. If kambula males stay together, they are already serious threat to ndhzengas.

This is old footage, few months ago.

2 older males are now Kruger, they are not seen with other 4 for around 1 year now, they will not reunite.

Sabi Sabi :

“We set out this morning with one goal, to find a male lion. This was our guests' last wish before they return to reality. Looking for the smallest sign or track, we kept our eyes open, focusing on the bush. Then there it was. A fresh set of tracks of a male and female lion. You could feel the excitement in the vehicle. Now even more focused as we moved slowly through the bush, we could feel that we are getting closer. And then there he was. A big male lion, sleeping peacefully in the sun.

We couldn't see the female anywhere but heard impala calling in the distance presuming it might be the female out on a hunt. As the impala alarm called, he lifted his head, looking into the direction of the sound, but didn't move too much. Later, he got up, walked a few meters, stretched, and plopped down into some shade again.“

Well, in the video the main reason pride was persistent to keep their kill was the males. Buffaloes tried several times, but none of the three males leave it's ground while females were stepped out again and again.
Obviously, male confidence is much needed element for the pride stability and for its thriving.
In fact one scene from last year video ( maybe September 2021) came to my mind where DM Avoca along with talamatis girls and his subadult sons were having a meal . Suddenly they sense some male ( S8 imbali) nearby.
They were 1 adult male, 3 subadults boys, and several adult lionesses strong and S8 imbali was all alone. But DM Avoca leaves the ground and ran away. For a few seconds seconds rest were still and then follow the DM Avoca.
8:48 of the video.

DM's leg injury seemed to have stripped him of much of his confidence for quite some time. That is why many found it wonderful when he had begun regaining a lot of his condition, and with it a lot of his confidence, in recent months. being semi-nomadic for a period really seemed to help DM with his conditioning and his confidence. It is possible that he even attacked S8/Imbali not too long ago, along with his sons, to the point that one of the guides had made a post proclaiming he did not believe S8 was going to survive the night (which thankfully ended up not being the case).

S8 is a lion not a buffalo. What kind of analogy is this? Will the Birminghams not stand their ground against a prey animal because they fled the presence of the plains camp lions?  Sad

It is bad angle but his right lover canine is missing (visible on the last picture). That's another marker how to determine it is him if others are inconclusive/when in doubt. the twisted paw when walking would be another one but ofc not visible here.
