@Regrann from @tuskphoto - Meet Tusk.. the Jaguar.
This year we had the honour of naming this beautiful male Jaguar that we encountered in the Pantanal.
He had not yet been recorded by the @jaguaridproject and we were able to provide photos of him for ID and research purposes. What a stunning cat he is! Lightly coloured and exceptionally beautiful. He has quite an attitude too and charged our boat when we saw him the first time, which is very uncommon for Jaguars in the region.
We look forward to receiving updates of his whereabouts and well-being and hope to see Tusk again next year on our Pantanal tours.
This season we encountered 65 Jaguars in 56 sightings over two weeks - phenomenal numbers and good quality sightings.

Most likely not
Caiman in the northern pantanal are not even close to that size, at max they're probably 10' and 100kg, Reply
