There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

From Chester Zoo:

Rescued male Atuano from Jaguars Unto the Wild foundation. His build is amazing:

Yum Balam male

Maximus male

Andrómeda female

Cielo female from BJWT

Somehow captive jaguars are much more robust than their wild counterparts in general.

I disagree, captive jaguars that I have seen in person normally lack the muscle definition that their wild counterparts have because they don't get as much exercise. These ones are an exception because the sanctuary they are in constantly puts them to the test to build healthy weight. Jaguars, in general, have a robust build with a thick chest and huge jaws.

Here are some examples of four wild Argentinian jaguars for you to compare:

That male jaguar in the last picture is really robust.

He's huge, to me his build reminds more to that of an extinct bear-dog than it does a cat with its huge jaws. These jaguars are tracked by the organization Redyaguarete of Argentina, here is another big one they caught:

Leandro
- calm down Tupã she's yours, she's all yours  Funny Funny

I'd like to see Tupã's comparison in size with Xavante though.

Tufão young male is already pretty large it seems Tufão will grow into a big cerrado jaguar.

Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan (Byculla zoo), inspired by Ranthambore terrain, designed for their new felines the only water-walled enclosure of India. The landscaping of the 3,500 sq metre expanse, a recreation of the indigenous habitat of the forest at Ranthambore National Park, complete with bamboo, neem trees & other prairie flora was created before the pair of felines arrived from Aurangabad.
