There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Meet Kam Balam and Cocoy.

Kam Balam lost one of his paw on altercation with other jags and yet can jump up to 8 feet and is really fast and Cocoy lost her tip of the tail and she's just fine as well.

Of all the big cats I think jaguar roar is closest to lion's roar based on consequential air exhalation and sound pattern. It might have been because of shared ancestry b/w leopard-lion clade and jaguar

@Sanju jaguars and lions are indeed each other's closer relatives, but I find that the jaguar growl is more similar to that of the tiger:

I also feel like the jaguar's morphology is more similar to that of the tiger in that their bodies are stocky and not as tall as the lion. Lions are unique, so are jaguars despite both being closely related.
