This is beautiful informative post by Jignesh Patel

In this post he has written about Male tigers of Tadoba in details.
All male tiger of Tadoba tiger reserve, India
*This image is copyright of its original author

Tyson: - He is known as Katezari Male & Amitabh. A dominant male from katezari area. He later started visiting area like Tadoba Lake,Jamunbodi,Kala amba. He was sighted with Maya for first time in 2013 near Panchdhara and after that he was one of the mates of Maya. In 2014 he was sighted in early morning near ainbodi he started to mark his territory in Gabbar area. In 2015 he was mostly sighted at Kala Amba water body and Udarmatka road which is closed for tourism. No sighting of him in 2016 as per my record.

Gabbar: - A new male in Tadoba range no idea where he came from and his blood line. He was sighted at vasant bhandara crossing in 2011. My first sighting of Gabbar was in 2012. On 13 Jan 2013 he was sighted with Maya for first time at hilltop showing his power and Dominance after that he was the first mate of Maya. Now he was the new Dominant male of Jamni he was sighted at many different spot after that Kosaikanar ,Jamunbodi,Vasantbhadara Crossing and it was really surprising for me that while returning from one afternoon ride we saw him at Kolara Gate near the first fire line which is just 100 mtrs from Gate. In 2014 he stared patrolling at pandherpauni, Navegao Road, Kala Amba and Tadoba Lake. 15 Feb 2014 he was sighted at Jamni Matting with Maya and he is the father of Maya first litter which were born in first week of June 2014. Later in 2015 he had a lot of competition with his territory 2 more male stared visiting Pandepauni ,tadoba Lake and Jamunbodi. Gabbar was sighted at Katezari and Moharli zone in 2015 he went till sarai and came back after 6 long months.

Namdev: - Dominant male of Matksaur area, he is a huge male tiger and shy too. He was a mate of Nakkati Tigress. The area which comes under his territory like Matkasur , Jamni Road ,Kosaikanar Road, CN no 97, Jhari which is non tourism zone, Gongalhood and buffer of Kolara. In 2013 June he was spotted at tar road down near Jamunbodi with katezari male moving side to side showing shoulders to each other after that he moved back to his area. Now after a year in 2014 he was sighted again at Pandepauni 2 water body in June. He had a territorial fight with Gabbar at Kosai Kanar. It was really surprising he use to move in different area in the begging of monsoon after a first shower of rain. 2015 he uses to the Dominate Pandhepauni he came in search of mate after Nakkati disappeared in 2014 and stared sharing area of Panderpauni with other males. He was sighted for a year in same area of Tadoba like Pandherpuani, Kala amba,CN No 97 and Tadoba lake and again he was spotted with Katezari male at Kala Amba moving side to side. February 2015 he was sighted with Maya at navegao meadows mating with her after 3 days both were sighted at Pandhepauni 2 and again in March they were spotted together at Pandhepauni he is the father of Maya 3 cubs which were born in july 2015. No sighting of him in 2016.

Waghdoh or Scarface (Father):- Waghdoh male came towards the telia and yenbodi side of mohurli range from his won waghdoh area. He was massive in size that time and he fought with yeda anna a few guides from mohurli saw this at the kosba lane in mohurli range. He killed madhuri’s 3 cubs and forced her to mate with him.
We'll this mating was not as easy as it sounds..... Waghdoh being such a huge male as compared to madhuri. Hard to believe but this mating went for more than 60 days at the telia lake.... And at last it was successful. Waghdoh was now the dominant male of Moharli zone a new king with a massive size and we can call him more Social and carrying Father. . Scarface had seemingly moved with Madhuri and still provides the security which every tigress seeks.

Yeda Anna (Father): - He is called by different name crooked tail.
He use to dominate Mohurli Range slowly his territory was shared with Waghdo Male in 2011 and later he use to visit till Aswalheera. After a territory fight with WAGHDO at KOSABA LINE he use to patrol areas like Aswalheera ,vasanthbandhara,Kosaikanar and Khatoda. There were hardly any sighting of him in 2013 he vanished in buffer area or was missing no idea and suddenly in 2015 he was sighted at vasanth bandhara in morning safari and evening he was at Jamunjora area after a month he was in Panchdhara near tadoba lake after few days he was sighted at jamunbodi area moving towards Khatoda…..His latest sighting was at Pandherpauni Area in 2016.

Kankajari Male: - A new Male in Kolara buffer area he is mostly spotted at kankajari water body he was sighted at core zone also twice near Matkasur fireline. No more information about him.

New Matkasur Male: - He was sighted near tadoba lake many times when he was making his territory in 2014 later he shifted to matkasur area which was ruled by Namdev. Now he is dominant male of matkasur and marking his territory in different area of tadoba which are also marked by other males. He is a male cub of Jamunjora female and Katezari male. He was sighted with her siblings in 2014 opposite side of Tadoba Lake Mr Vinod the guide of tadoba and other tourist had a sighting of four tiger playing in water. He is now the most frequently sighted male.

Bajrang: - The first sighting of Bajrang was at Pandherpauni water body no 2 on 14th May 2014.It was an afternoon safari as usual we planned to check navegao road because there was no movement near water body suddenly we saw tiger sitting in tall grass. We were the only gypsy there but within few minutes more cars came and all stared Predicting that he is Gabbar but he was looking uncomfortable and this was not Gabbar behavior so I thought he is new tiger for sure then suddenly he stood up and ran towards the fire line which goes to Bhamangam next day he was sighted again in morning walking through bamboos near Navegao Road in afternoon safari he was cooling himself in Ainbody water hole after that he was not sighted I thought he moved to other area because he was young and trying to make his territory and Pandhepauni was under dominant male Gabbar who was in his Prime. After few days on 26th May 2014 one of my guests showed me a picture of young male he told me he saw this tiger near Khatoda Fire line and I looked at the image and it was the same male which I saw near Pandherpauni. On 20th June he was sighted near Kosba Line. After few days he was at Telia Lake with Soman mating with her. Now he was named as Bajrang a new Dominant male of Mohurli Zone. He is Father of Sonam three cubs.

Narshima: - He is old male who traveled from ramdegi area my first sighting of him was in 2014 outside Navegao gate while returning back from safari and it was for a quite long time he was shy and dint came out of tall grass and after few days again I saw him while going for morning safari to navegao he was on the middle of the road snarling and after that many tourist saw him at the same spot outside the Navegao core gate. Now he is the father of jarna cubs. Recently he was sighted in core area of Tadoba in July and September 2016. In July he was sighted near sasa line chasing Maya.

I was doing some work with an NGO for tiger conservation in India and was lucky enough to see some camera trap image photo albums of tigers in Sri Sailam Tiger Reserve (South India - Largest Tiger Reserve in India). There are more than 50 tigers in the forest but there is little to no tourism due to local conditions and poor management. There were images of 3 MASSIVE Male Tigers who seemed to be as big as Wagdoh!

However, there was another one.... an ABSOLUTE MONSTER!! I've never seen a tiger that huge! You really have to see the photo to believe it how abnormally big it was!

Since the NGO is very careful about releasing information on the tigers, I dared not asked if I could take a photo!
All I can give is his code name - M8 GB9
I'll be going to the forest to do some camera trap work myself and HOPEFULLY I'll be able to share some more details then.
