Great sighting and updates of the lions in the Western Sector of Sabi Sands. Tumbela male on his own this morning at Inyati.
Othawa did not find her 3 daughters but hopefully soon they will be reunited. Ximungwe female and Othawa breakaway female still together. Inyati, South Africa. You're right, NYM's story is very heart breaking as well.   
The Tumbela male has continuously surprised and impressed us all.
For the most part of two weeks he has been in the vicinity of the two Ximungwe females and lately been in great condition. However, this morning we found one of the Plains Camp males in the west again! Apparently the source is Leopard Hills. Though I cant find it on their Insta. Ive seen an unedited clip on the Othawa fan page aswell. 
Interesting, looks like he is starting to feel confident again, but PC males are also west, so not sure how long until PC boys will intervene.
He has been showing mixed signs of being territorial for a while now. In fact, this video was kind of expected to pop up sooner or later.
But yeah. He is making a huge gamble. I think he is hoping that the PC males are content with what they have and accept his existence as a neighbour for the time being. |
