Yeah, two females in the Talamatis that were sired by Selatis. Interestingly, they had around 9 that made it to sub-adulthood but I'm not sure where all the other females disappeared off to.

The Battles of Africa
Ranger report: Lion´s revenge
...One of the most exciting chapters of the Lion Kingdom was the war of three great coalitions for dominance over sabi sands. Rarely has an event been so widely reported as the bitter struggle of the Mapogos, Majingilanes and Selatis. The Mapogos were over years the uncrowned kings of Sabi Sands. A superpower of 6 lions conquered and terrorized the areas adjacent to the famous Kruger park for years. Many rival male lions lost their lives or fled to the great Kruger park. The revenge of the Mapogos was merciless and many prides were decimated or driven away. With the arrival of the five Majingilane males, one of the bloodiest episodes began. For months they approached the east where the two Mapogo brothers Kinky tail and Mr T did their mischief after they left the west and their 4 older brothers.
Two legendary battles took place in which the 5th Majingi and Kinky tail left their lives. The now lonely Mr T defended his pride and territory for weeks, but he had to retreat to his brothers in the west. Soon a showdown was imminent as the 5 Mapogos suddenly appeared in the territory now controlled by the Majingilane. To this day it is not clear what happened during those weeks, as Rasta Mapogo disappeared and Pretty boy Mapogo turned up with an injured back. A possible clash could not be documented, leading to speculation as to whether the mapogos and majingilanes had a real fight.
The 4 remaining Mapogos retreated to the west and the Majingilanes slowly expanded their rule in the east. When it was thought that another clash would take place at the end of 2010, Dreadlocks Mapogo suddenly disappeared.
Over the next few months, five brothers emerged from the south and became known as the Selatis. They came too close to the mapogos but were able to flee from the Mapogos at the last second, but when they were in the territory of the Majingilanes, they were spotted by them and one of them was killed. From then on, the Selatis remained quiet and inconspicuous. At the beginning of 2012, they caught Pretty boy Mapogo, who was on patrol alone. At the last moment, his brothers Makhulu and Mr T saved him. A short time later the last battle of the notorious Mr T mapogo took place and the Selatis conquered the west and drove out the last 2 Mapogos. After one of them, named Hank, died after an injury, the last 3 Selatis were driven more and more into a corner. In the end one of them was killed by the Majingilanes again and the 2 remaining Southern pride males left the area and migrated north to the Manyeleti area. The majingilanes were now the top formation and only the Matimbas from the North could be dangerous to them.

Thank you all again and I agree that the selati were very good looking lions. I'm still trying to learn how to use wildfact and stuff. Again; another post of the Selati coalition.
Here we have Selati 1 & 3 taking down a buffalo, while their younger brother (male 4) just watched and almost took a hit.
Selati 1 is the one that didn't let go of the buffalo for a moment, according to a video i watched, he hadn't fed for weeks and that's why he used all the strength he had in him not to lose this prey.

They were all excellent buffalo hunters, but I would say that male 1 and male 3 were the best among them.

After the successful hunt, the Selatis discover a calf in the buffalo's stomach. The lions kill turned into "C-section".

Thank you for the support. Also yse, Selati #1 was definitly a monster, as far as i am concerned he was the biggest out of the 4 Selatis.
Btw, should we create another topic to talk about them or stay on 'page' 16? I don't know how this works exactly

I couldn't be more agree. Despite all Selati males were good-looking lions, the #1 was by far, the most impressive of them. Christof Schoeman once said that the Selati number #1 was by far, the most beautiful and biggest male lion he ever saw.
Btw, isn't necessary a new thread, all the Selati males pics or old blogs from Manyeleti, Sabi Sands can be posted here without any problem. Regards: Tino

I think someone have already posted a report that spoke more specifically of that occasion, but i don't remember seeing the photo here, so I found it (on Facebook) and decided to post here.
'An amazing few days of game viewing was kicked off by the Selati males killing a buffalo cow. The males quickly brought the buffalo down, we presume they broke her neck, but the herd of about 400 buffalo turned and chased the lions off their fallen sister. Despite their best efforts the cow was unable to stand up.'

"The four dominant male (Selati coalition of male lions) are back on our sector, no major added injuries on the recent territorial fight. However one of the males who was actively fighting and chasing the the three intruding males is now badly limping."

"Two lioness of Othawa pride and four Selati males were found on fresh buffalo kill this morning. The eye of Selati one and the lips of Selati three is looking much better and Selati two will also hopefully recover soon."
(this is Selati no.2)

And here apparently of the same situation, but this time posted by Leopardo hills:
"All 4 Selati males were found together this morning for the first time since the battle with the Majingilane!
They look confident and proud showing a few minor injuries sustained while securing their territory!"

"Mapogo lion's nightmare (The southern males) seems to be here to stay. We saw them this morning resting in the Sand River."
