How do you mean for nothing?

Nhenha and NK ousted territorial Tumbela male, it was their territory, there cant be females on their territory who are not submited to them, those females will be attacked and eliminated, as they where. Ximhungwe and Gingerella submit and they are fine.

Thats how lions society works, and Nhenha/NK did nothing wrong or unusual, 100% normal behavior.

It doesn’t matter that after that they couldnt defend this territory, PC males are just stronger.

Its the same if lets say 6 males invaded NK/Nhenha, and then you say " why Nhenha killed 2 females back them, didn't he know that he would get invaded and lost to 6 males 2 months later?".

They are both lions with a history of avoiding and running from fights. Even if its a fight they really should stand their ground in.

The Birmingham Boys already showed this same behavoir during their conflict with the Avocas.
And Nym is probably still not over his Nomadic life. Especially the death of Sym must be haunting him. Seeing how easily he was killed by dumb bad luck during an easily winnable fight..

I think these two must be boosting eachother weaknesses rather than strengths.

And yeah. The loss of the Othawa pride is regretable. It would have been better if this coalition never formed.

Again that Avoca case, while Bboys did stand their ground and was report of chasing Avocas few times, just as other way around, it was 2 equal coalitions chasing each other.

And lets not go into list who Nhenha and Tinyo chased in 2020/21 numerous times, from OM, Ndhzengas, PC's, Nwalungus, N. Avocas, Imbali males etc.

So i dont like that narrative, that Nhenha is running from fight, because of 1 clash where he run from Mohawk, while there is 10 reports where he was the chaser.

?? Thats straight favoring Othawas over Nhenha/NK..

Nhenha/NK did nothing wrong or what any coalition wouldn't.

Othawas would face the same fate 2 months later against PC males.

Its like saying, Mapogos where mistake, because they killed a lot of lions..

Interesting, does that mean that NK knows that Nhenha is gone?

Feel like it definitely brings Nhenha's status more into question given that their past encounters obviously weren't anything near this. Not trying to get ahead of myself by any means, but this would be an interesting pairing.

Ehrm yes. I do favour a pride over coalitions.

They are the cornerstones of lion society lasting decades afterall. While the birminghams as a coalition will be gone in a few years even in the best of scenarios.

Its a simple harsh fact of life that males are far more expendable than females are. Its ridiculous to suggest that just two male lions are equal in worth to three adult lionesses and the 4 subs that died already. Not to mention the Ximhungwe litters.

Its a stretch to believe they would suffer the same fate just two months later. The PCmales arent that active in the west and have been around there for years now. It wasnt till this conflict with the Birminghams started that the deaths started ramping up.

Ultimately the lion population in western sector would be in a much better shape if this coalition never formed and will only continue to worsen the longer this goes on.

I am under no obligation to fairness to ignore this.

Anyway.
A Nym Skorro coalition would be interesting.
Both have good standing with the Ximhungwes. Though there may be a conflict of interest towards the Othawas.
The big question is however how this grouping behaves towards the PCmales. With some luck they are tolerant to the Othawas but move the Ximhungwes further away from the PCmales.

PC males are hammer. You posted that insta video of him moving away from PCMs. Except for a few elephants may be, they are putting every living thing on the run.

Yeah I thought that as well because it looks completely normal. In the footage of NK male by himself after the fight that occurred with PC males you could clearly see his damaged brow but in this one it looks perfect.

Looks like he used old video of Nkuhuma.

The morning of the fight, Nhenha hears the roars of the plains camp male and takes off running in the opposite direction:

So what is this absurd notion that Nhenha was ready to fight, but it was Nkuhuma male who “failed” him. I know we are all processing the news of what happened, but blaming Nkuhuma doesn’t make this better.

The Birminghams were always outmatched and it was their own error in judgement to keep returning to an area when they couldn’t compete. There’s no need to imply it was the Nkuhuma male’s fault. Unfortunately this is just nature, and the plains camp male found a way to isolate and attacked one of their opponents, as lions have been doing for centuries. Let’s just hope it wasn’t fatal.

Nhenha’s running for a while and there are a lot of excuses offered for that here. Sometimes, there is even a talk of a complex strategy behind this retreat(running). Come on, guys… There are times when you inspire with your wisdom and then this.

Most of us have seen this. Londolozi made an excellent video in the SA winter of 2021. As PC males were walking @12:30, probably Nhenha or his brother might be thundering out those roars at a distance. It was probably around that time, was the last chance for the old boy to get the PC males. Also Mohawk with the help of Blondie could have definitely caused PCMs some serious trouble at that time.

@SMK350 @Horizon That title is missleading, you guys need to stop believing everything what rangers say, and see it yourself.

I dont hear any roars from distance, even if they are, and rangers heard it, it was miles away, and then they typed, that they where shaking?? Yea, they where so shaking..

Then continue to watch video, lioness comes behind vehicle, Nhenha is watching her, and she then starts contact calling, Nhenha heard that and he was running towards her, focusing his eyes on her, NK male followed, to see if he can get some action too. (just watch the video guys and dont read titles only, he even said on the video that lioness is calling them wjen they start running towards her).

This title is completley missleading, they where 100 % not running from roars of PC males, yet where following female to see if they can get some action..

Also, if they where so "scared" and "shaking" (oh gosh, how they where shaking, like its - 15 in Africa), and running from roars of mighty PC males, why would they then roar in Leopard Hills that night? Remember, they where so affraid and shaking.

I dont blame NK, or that he failed Nhenha, im saying what i saw from all the clashes where this 2 were against other territorial males.

1. Nhenha 1vs1 fight vs Skorro Jr., who was territorial male at that time, NK male was not present (weird, it was 1vs 2 opportunity, also they where seen getting chased by 1 Tumbela male before that, also weird, they are 2 males, hmm.), but he was present when they found weak Limper who was on his death door, so weak that they didn’t even kill him.

2. First incident against PC males, NK male got chased away, but Nhenha was seen chasing alone 2 PC males back and forth (rangers words) and seen standing and roaring in face of 2 PC males, almost getting caught (there was video of that). (Yea, Nhenha is so scared of them that he was seen chasing them in 1vs 2).

3. This last fight, we dont know what happened, but aftermath is the same, NK male seen without a scratch, while Nhenha fought and prob got killed by 2 PC males. So it was 99% same scenario as under number 2, but this time they did actually caught Nhenha, alone.

Im not bashing anyone, or blame anyone, especially not NK male, who survived a lot and i follow him since he was 2 years old, they are all lions, trying their best to survive as they can. Fights are part of them.

Their bond, teamplay and confidence, was just too weak to beat PC males.
