There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

3 boys, I think in Triangle ? Ex-Oloololo males.
Photo series credit: Lou Pignolet

We went out early this morning on the Masai Mara plain with Layne Kennedy and Salomea Klunzinger hoping to experience a lion kill. We came across a very recent kill with 9 satiated lions including 3 large males. Here are a few photos of some of the lions lying around the zebra carcass, some still eating and being watched by a jackal and hyenas. This evening we are heading to a river we expect to be full of large hippos.

Sickboy

Trainspotting T2 tribute to a lion called Sikio of the Musketeers, stunning male in his prime... time to be looking for my next trip. There was hardly any light here but the 1Dx and slower shutter speed stood tall!

From Matira Magazine
MAASAI MARA NEWS
Ex Rongaimale Longface at Rhinoridge.
Yesterday we found him at Rhinoridge. He is doing well and the injuries at the back are as far  fully recovered.
Now, strong again, he tries to get in touch with the females of the ridge as  life without females who are taking care of him is might be too hard.
