"spent 5 nights in the Masai Mara over New Years at Serian Nkorombo and Governors Camp. Had a wonderful time in the Mara with some really great sightings. Scar is one of my most favorite lions and I was lucky to spend some time with him. "

SAD NEWS from the RONGAIPRIDE!!

The 4 Nomad boys came back. Yesterday evening we saw the Rongaipride eating a warthog for dinner. Napejo was limping. This morning the Nomads killed the female youngster. The rest of the pride was not seen today.

NEWS FROM RONGAIPRIDE!!
Yesterday morning we found Napejo lying under a tree. She was very injured, almost couldn't walk and had bad injuries in her face. As we were already in contact with the Vets the day before , they could come the same day and treated her. Thanks a lot the whole team for a very good job !!!
The rest of the females seem to be ok, we also saw 5 cubs but the pride was still not together.

Poor Napejo u.u

Holy crap, she got disfigured beyond recognition, but they still managed to recover her face.

Kudos to these veterinarians.

From Matira Magazine

RONGAI PRIDE comes together again.
NAPEJO felt much better yesterday. She was no more limping and the wound in her face looked good.
It was very important to treat her immediately because she is the leader of the pride and keeps all together. Yesterday evening we saw her with another female and some cubs.
