Top video is Oloimina and Oloshipa, bottom Lorkulup with Rongai boys. Interesting that the Rongai boys seem to spend more time with their fathers than the whole pride, which is prolly partly cos there’s new cubs. Still tho, guess it speaks volumes to the relationships between father(s) and son(s), especially with Lorkulup and Oloimina.

Inselberg males also crossed the river back to their territory.

One of the Inselberg males was limping pretty badly yesterday.  Very curious how that happened as nobody seems to know.

People are saying that the top video is an old one, so take that video with a grain of salt.

I seen ppl say that too, was thinking about deleting but no point as it’s not confirmed and it’s a good sighting of them no matter the date.

Information about the Death of Nyekundo and Olobor:

With heavy heart we finally can confirm the “cause” to our audience, our beloved Fig Tree boy Nyekundo died of human-wildlife conflicts rather than natural course, killed by herders in Olare Motorogi in Jan. 2024, though its already 10 months since he mysteriously vanished on his own territory. Nyekundo was one of our all-time favorites in Mara, son of the Maridadi, grandson of legends 4KM males, and born in Fig Tree Pride for which the whole core pride has been wiped out by herders at Talek area.

For this particular tragedy, Enkoyonai pride hunted cow. Other members ran away from herders while Nyekundo resisted. He was speared to death by a herdsman hired by a local family. We can’t imagine how frustrated and heartbroken when Osupaat returned home and contacted his brother, his dearest brother would never respond. These 2 boys never went apart from birth. We watched them from young boys grow into successful pride males. They are best brothers to each other, best boyfriends to Enkoyonai, and best fathers to their kids. Again herdsmen ruined this great duo coalition and destroyed our dream. This information was covered by all means since (we assume) the conservancy wouldn’t want us to know - they killed their #1 tourist star. The same month herdsmen at Maji YF area hired by local safari business owners, also killed their most popular lion Olobor.

It’s so heartbreaking Olare Motorogi is no longer the same heavenly beautiful , well-maintained place for wild lions. From all the sources the whole OMC is full of cattle now. Yes we know livestock grazing is allowed in these conservancies (policy different from that of National Reserve). However livestock encroachment into lions territory exacerbated within recent 12 months. Enkoyanai territory is full of cattle which directly caused to Nyekundo’s tragic death. We also lost track of the whole Sankai pride (20+ members ) and desperately want to know how many still alive…Safari revenue means more and more cows in Mara. Don’t fool us any more, these two kinds of creatures just cannot co-exist on your lands ! Its never ended. We are going to lose more our beloved lions. Since the deaths of Summer and Taisha, Topi lioness Princess (Lipstick daughter) and her son also vanished which we believe fell to the same fate. We are heartbroken, but we still have Heart l. We are wondering if some people already lost theirs and destroyed their own souls. ?

Information from Lion Sightings post, the statements above is from the caption of the video below.

Based on the comments on the video Lenny Koshal and Karino Daniel is involved in this incidents and also in cahoots with the people responsible for the lions death in Masai Mara, also Lenny Koshal is alleged in kidnapping baby cubs and selling it specially in Maji Ya Fisi area where Maji Ya Fisi Pride is located because the pride always lost their cubs, marking the fourth or fifth time this has happened, also Maji Ya Fisi area is often closed off to the public so anything can really happen in that area. The only cub that I think of that did grow and starts having a mane is the Maji Ya Fisi Boy son of Olobor but he also did die, from the lion community opinions this Maji Ya Fisi Boy could have been Olonkera's parnter when Olonkera left the Rongai Pride as they are near to each other but they never did meet because Maji Ya Fisi Boy died. Maji Ya Fisi area have many hyenas and also many herders graze their cattle here so wildlife in this area is scarce, hence why Maji Ya Fisi Boy and his little siblings may have died due to starvation due to lack of prey animal there, if Olobor haven't died and the Maji Ya Fisi area is free from herders maybe Maji Ya Fisi Boy is alive today and maybe in a coalition with Olonkera. Remember it's not only the Human & Wildlife Conflict that is the problem but also the Human Caused Problem in the Ecosystem of the Masai Mara.

Would a full boycott of Masai make things better or worse?

I would just make the area as a nature reserve economically a failure. Opening it up for buldozing.

That is what I was referring to as the needed context. From what I see, knowing what I do of the BRBs, and given there are at least two BRBs present, I have to believe that these are likely their own sons. I would find it hard to believe that one of the BRBs would submit to a young male like this, while his brother is literally chasing another.

That’s a Rongai boy with one of the older nomads submitted, one of the Molibany boys.

Ah, finally some context, and with it a much better understanding of what is happening.

@Friarfan619, if you don't mind me asking, how do you post your embedded Instagram links? I have noticed for some time, they often appear malformed, and when people reply to you, it results in their responses being malformed as well. The way Instagram links should be embedded is:

[insta]<your link goes here>[/insta]

Example:

As you can see, the "target=" stuff that we see in your post does not appear, though I posted the exact same video, and if you respond to this post, it will appear normally.

By the way, the link I used to embed this video, was literally copied from within your post, there just seems to be a bunch of extra stuff there as well.
