There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

So gingerella wasn’t allowed back into the pride bc they already had new cubs right? How would her returning to the pride be negative for the cubs or was it something else?

While I seriously doubt she would have done anything to the cubs, lionesses are extremely defensive when it comes to them and unfortunately a fair amount of time passed from when she had to leave with her bothers when the Tumbela coalition took over and when she tried making contact with the pride again. By that time the pride lionesses more than likely saw her as a stranger/threat to the new cubs and drove her off. Perhaps if they didn't have new cubs they may have been more accepting of her return, but when cubs are involved all bets are off.

Cubs and time are just some of the factors, another was Tumbelas, even if Othawas accepted her, Tumbelas would not, as she was too young for mating.

@Tr1x24 do you know if the last sighting of any of the males that left with Gingerella was of the male that returned with her to the west? And if then when was that?

Around 10 months. The Tumbelas took over the pride in October 2020 and that's when she left along with her brothers and Othawa Junior. Initially Sassy also joined them until December 2020. Fast forward, she returned to the west in August 2021 when one of her brothers after a spell in Kruger.

A spell in Kruger?

I believe @lionuk meant "with one of her brothers", and by spell that is a common phrase used to imply a short time.
