What kind of soap opera shenanigans is going on in Western Sabi Sands LMAO??
LOL, at this point, I believe, Skorro Jr is simply in survival mode, trying to do whatever he can to keep existing. Every time he is chased off, or left behind, he always returns much thinner, which implies, to me at least, that he is unable to hunt for himself any longer. I do not believe, at this stage, that he poses much of a threat to anything that isn't a kill made by other creatures.
According to facebook he is still hunting or atleast helping to hunt and is heralded for saving the pride from starvation. I am not sure what to make of those claims as it sounds too much like fanboying.
The trurh probably lies in the middle.
This is pretty much his modus operandi for years now. Hanging around a pride in western sector. Being chased of for a bit by the PCmales only to then return a few days later undetered.
I dont think we can now conclude he is on the brink due to this behavoir. Ultimately all male lions want a pride and in a way, he got one now. Its just that the Mangheni arent getting much of a pridemale in return.

Perhaps I should have clarified, I do not believe he is in any way on the brink, I was simply saying I do not believe he has any further intentions outside of trying to eat, and some companionship. However, I do believe that, by the way every time he returns he is thinner than when he left, it implies, to me, that if he is able to hunt on his own, he is not doing a very good job of it. I believe his leg is keeping him from being able to catch prey, but if the pride were to catch one, he is still capable of helping them to bring it down.
This can all change, though, as we are all aware, once he regains some of his strength.
Time sure flies by, 2 years ago the Mapogo had 5 living daughters, 3 Mangheni and 2 Othawa, now their closest blood still alive are 8 grandcubs, 7 adult granddaughters ( 3 Mangheni, 1 Kambula and 3 Ntsevu ) and one small grandson, the Mangheni youngest cub in photos above, still, not bad considering they were born in 1998-2001 and ousted in early 2012, only living 7 adult offspring that we know had success.

That does not sound good. Hopefully is nothing. It is just strange the youngest cub is missing and the Birmingham’s daughter is missing.

Has there been any new information on them?
A video posted on Instagram 2 days ago by @observehlamulo showed all 7 cubs, but only 2 adult females, drinking at a waterhole. Doubt that any of the cubs are in danger, but as for the adult female...

I believe it is ok, but it is strange. Maybe she could be with the Tumbela male lion ? Or another male lion. It is strange the Birmingham daughter a big lioness not with the other lioness and cubs. Could they have seen or met another lion, lionesses like the Kambula pride or the three Kambula lioness? I was going to ask did and of the Kambula lionesses ever get to meet the two younger lionesses that are with the Mahangeni or the Kambula lioness had moved? I am wondering if the Kambula lionesses would recognize them.
Apparently Singita claims that the missing lioness and cub are there.
If this is true, idk why they are split, but I hope they are well and rejoin the pride soon cuz if the cub is by himself instead of with the adult lioness, he's in deep trouble.
