The Mhangenis pride male, Nguvu (Othawa young male) got killed by the Birminghams a year ago after he tried to get lucky with their ladies.

The Othawa pride male, Skorro (Tumbella coalition) got killed or chased away by the Birminghams some weerks ago after he tried to get lucky with their ladies.

The young male you saw is probably the subadult. Which is luckily still to young to try to mess with the Birminghams ladies.

Anyone know if the older Mangheni (who is with Princess Tsalala) the Mother of Othawa Male's daughter?

Apparently, she is. But i find it strange for her to be pregnant after just giving birth in March of 2021 to Othawa Male's One surviving Daughter.

Only 2 old Mangheni females remain now.

The lioness with Tsalala is the mother of the Sub-Adult that disappeared in January.
The mother of current OM sub adult disappeared a few months ago.
Now today, Savannah published new video and another lioness  seems to not be with group.
More to follow.

I hate to hear that for the Manghenis, they cannot afford any more losses. This is really informative video, seems Gingerella is now a member of the Ximungwe Pride, and Skorro Jr, the sly cassanova that he is, seems to be feeding himself really well, always has a full belly. What's interesting about the portion of the video with him and Ximungwe, he seems to have walked up on her unbeknownst, almost surprised by her presence behind that tree.

I think the limping one, Majingilane daughter, is there, last female who walks towards rest, you could see how carefully she walks and also looks young.

That would mean that another of old females is missing..

Maybe mating somewhere? Could be, they where south before that, maybe she found Ndhzengas.

I’m trying to get more fidelity but in several exchanges with guests and guides it’s been reported that the Limping Mhangeni has returned to the others.   But that the Sub-Adult and the Eldest Lioness is split away from the other 3 adults.   Maybe temporarily not sure if I will hear more till much later.   But wanted to share that it sounds like the missing lioness is ok.

As a follow up; here is a sighting of the three younger Mhangeni lionesses.  Hopefully more information comes out about the Mapogo Daughter and the Sub-Adult whereabouts.

@criollo2mil  The old Female taking her Sister's Cub while the 3 younger females stay together confuses me so. Maybe they wish to keep her safe from any males who wish to take over the core pride. So she took her to keep her safe?  Or maybe she was taking her to go & look for her Mother?
A sub adult female at only 1.6.years old would likely make contact calls often to reunite with her Mother. This would also alert other unwanted guests to their presence.
However, she did lose her Mother ages ago so that theory does not hold much weight nor sense.
They may reunite after their current separation. Let's hope for the best. The West is a crazy place recently

@criollo2mil  btw thank you for your previous answer.

Someone on fb who follows them closely said that the Mother of the surviving Sub Adult is with the Tsalala female. But that is not true. OM's daughter lost her Mother months ago & is presumed dead.
