New MalaMala report, I can't post the actual reports here, only the link, as I'm on mobile, but if someone can be nice enough to post the contents in their respective threads, know you're appreciated!

Anyways, Kruger and mohawk-maned BDM chasing an unknown young male who tried to interact with them and the NK pride, Kruger was roaring and aggressive.

Could this young male be the NK young male?

The other BDM was with Avoca in MalaMala while hia brother was also in MalaMala further north. Incredible, it seems they can really end meeting up. But if the Kruger male is with "his" BDM, the chances the encounter ends well will be little to none as Avoca and "his" BDM doesn't know the Kruger male. The limping BDM will have a better chance if he meets his brother and Avoca alone.

That aside, MalaMala reports 2 fierce clashes between 3 of the Nkuhlu and the Gijimas last month, and although they give little detail they say they "chased each other around" in one of these clashes, so in their own territory, with females and cubs mentioned with them or nearby, it seems it wasn't one-sided and the Nkuhlu put the effort to defend their territory and pride.

Probably the Monwana Boy as he is trying to fit in with the Nkuhuma Pride or maybe a Kambula young male as with the lack of Nkuhuma Pride sightings in the Northern Mala Mala this subadult from Kambula Pride may have been complacent on who's territory is it.

Also a lot have change since then when this sightings have been reported in March, Kruger Male, SBDM, Monwana Boy and the Nkuhuma Pride seems to have stayed in Northern Londolozi and Northern Mala Mala or near the boundary of them since the Kambula Males have arrived. Well 3 or 2 Nkuhuma Pride members were seen in North in the last week but seems like majority is staying under the radar.

Latest report is the Kruger Male is back in North, no idea where SBDM and Avoca is but they are sighted by WildEarth 3 or 2 days ago at Chitwa but seems they have moved as Kamubla Males where seen at Chitwa side yesterday by WildEarth and now on Hoffmans/Wessels/Little Gowrie side. Mantimahles seem to have stayed at Buffelshoek/Manyeleti.

The BDM with Kruger is the one with the limp??

Yeah, it's him.

Thank you buddy @BA0701, so happy that the limping BDM a got friend now.

Hey bro, didn't Krugger and limping BDM were together a while ago, and got split up because they were chased, I think by the PCMs??

Southern pride has 10 members:
- 3 adult females
- 2 subadult females: 2 y. old
- 5 cubs: 1 y. old.

I don't know how many females are there among the five cubs... but two or three females would mean pride composed of 7-8 females. ¿Can Southern pride become a mega pride again?

Speaking of the elder Southern female I went back to check reports at the time of her birth.

Unless the Charleston mated before ousting the 4ways, without anyone knowing ( unlikely given the reports showing the pride firmly under 4ways who were mating a lot ), the 4ways were definitely her fathers, when the Charleston ousted the 4ways the elder Southern female was already a little over a month away from being born, her mother was already halfway through her pregnancy.

Quite interesting then, that those two 4ways, possibly the one with unknown origins who was alive until not long ago, is the ancestor of the entire Southern pride.

Were WildEarth in Sabi Sands this morning or were they filming in Amakala and that new place with the Black Dam pride?

10 members, in 5 years, is absolutely unheard of! Has anyone heard of a single lioness rebuilding so quickly? The biggest boost was her having 2 females with the N'wa litter. I wish Xim lioness would have had such luck, even if she'd had one. I continue to hope that she is able to raise at least one more litter, after her current cubs become of age.

She can perfectly raise one more litter, she's not 10 years old yet and will be in estrus soon again.
I think Gijimas played a crucial role in the rebirth of SP, they accepted the Nzdhenga daugthers despite being inmature and they have offered great protection to the cubs so far.
In the case of the Ximhungwe lioness, she managed to raise her 2020 daughter by herself to the age of 1 and a half year, but she was alone, without the protection of a territorial coalition, which finally costed the life of her daughter, she is a very smart lioness and after losing her daughter joined Gingerella.

Yeah, when the Gijimas first came in, the cubs kept their distance, and I think we were all in pins and needles, hoping they would not be harmed, especially when you consider what they had just done to Ubuso, on their way into the area. It was such a relief, when we realized the Gijimas were accepting them, and now, the results are amazing to see!

K3 chasing Nkhuhumas (and Kambula's were then later chased by Manthimahles, apparently, really hope there is footage this time)

Same business as usual.

I'm just surprised Kambulas chased the Nkuhuma pride.

They never fail at surprising me with their actions.

Now we wait to see the Kambulas showing up in Umbumke or whatever. I was thinking Mantimahle may not be interested enough in the area, giving the Kambulas a chance to take over, but clearly that wasn't the case, and the Kambula as everybody is tired of knowing, don't have what it takes to confront a strong duo.

I don't think so, it could be either.
