@DE_66 makes a valid point, and I am speaking with the Mod Team on the matter. Once we have reached a consensus we will be posting to everyone.

This has come up before, in the recent and historical past, but at time the request was to clean up existing threads and move specific comments to their coinciding pride threads. If we decide to create threads for individual prides, which I believe will be beneficial, all current threads will remain intact, for the continuity of the site. I will report back as soon as we're ready to proceed.

If pride is down to last female, who moves around alone, it is usual to call ther say Tsalala female, but Tsalala pride is still valid, it does not matter it is a pride of one, imho. Let's look at Southern pride - by your POV she should called Southern female, but she has two female offspring growing up nicely, that are likely to stay with her if nothing happens to them and then what you woud want to call that trio (+ any subsequent cubs in that pride)? It would be a Southern pridem anythign else would be a nonsense. Pride is name is still carried by the last individual, as long as it is a female. It is effectively an individual and the lifestyle a behaviour is somewhat more similar to a leopard's female one than a pride of lion's one but still.
Pride is a group of individuals so Southern pride is a pride, lone lionesses is not a pride.

2 Sand River young males where not seen for ~ 1 year, is this really them or they mistaken them for 2 males that attacked Ndhzengas? Need to check whiskers.

Unfortunately they mistaken them, they are not Sand Rivers, they are 2 males that attacked Ndhzengas:

Scars on this light maned male match.

I guess they assume those are 2 Sand Rivers, as they also look similar to them in constitution.

How are we gona call these males, we cant always reffer to them as "males who attacked Ndhzengas".

Maybe S1 males, as they where first seen on S1, before they came to Sabi Sands.

For how long the third male hasnt been seen? I think if he doesnt appear in the next few months we can presume he succumbed to the N’was attack or died of any other cause

We should wait for rangers to give them an official name. Since they are staying in Lion Sands rangers there will soon name them.

He hasnt been seen since the day of the attack.

But idk what happened.

I mean he would be spotted somewhere in Sabi Sands if he stayed here, only if he run away straight east into Kruger, but also he should be searching for his 2 brothers in area where they where previously, around Skukuza..

We got footage from MalaMala first that 2 Ndhzengas chasing 2 other males, and then WideNose and that male. After that report goes that Wide Nose reunited with Gore and 2 Ndhzengas continued chasing other 2 males, and that 3rd male was not seen since. Based of that, he should'nt been killed by Ndhzengas, as Gore and WideNose couldnt catch him and kill him with WideNose being severely injured, also there was no injuries on Amahle and OE after they chased out 2 males.

So unless MalaMala missed something and Ndhzengas killed him before they chased 2 other males, he shouldn't been killed there.

But bush is dangerous place, even if he managed to get away from there, who knows what happened, maybe he bumped into other lions or something.

Well, they think they are Sand Rivers so idk about that, they are also nomads so they might not stay there.

I will reffer to them as S1 males, if they name them then we'll use it.
