There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Yesterday afternoon, we followed up on the sighting of the Southern Pride female and her warthog kill.  She was finishing off the scraps before moving a short distance, close to a waterhole, to rest.  She had a full tummy and looked content.

Birmingham males overall has actually reputation of aggressive males. They did not fought as much other coalitions as Matimbas ( reason of that was that Matimbas were in different circumstances, not Birminghams fault at all) , but they were known to fight each others within a coalition. Just since Mala Mala stated to post their live safaris you could see Nhenha in quite a few scraps already and by the beggining of Birmingham's reign he had to compete with 3 more brothers.

About Hairy Belly's supposed death: random Ahmed from Instagram is not a reliable source of information at all.

No, those are two different prides.

Shocking

TBT - The fourways pride or otherwise known as the KNP pride were found a few days ago in the far eastern section of our traversing. This is the first time i've in fact seen these lions and because most of their territory lies well within the borders of the Kruger National Park they aren't that used to the vehicles. They did however provide for a fantastic sighting as they climbed every termite mound, constantly giving contact calls. There were three young females and two young males, who probably had been seperated from the rest of their pride during the night.
