Some sort of interaction on Dan Fisers story with the Kambulas and Ndzhengas, they've caught some young lion. Some young male it seems from the guides comment. Looks like he wasn't injured.

Edit : Asked Dan, it's the Kambulas attacking one the young Styx boys

Not often get to be under the gaze of a big male lion…

The Tumbela male climbed up a big rock to get a view over his domain and afforded us a great opportunity to get some different shots.

The big male was seen with the Ximungwe female this morning! Another super interesting twist in the already surprising dynamics.

Interesting, we can see rest of Styx fleeing aswell, but young boy got caught, Ndhzengas definitely know him, thats way they dont actually attack him for real.

This is one of the problems with Styx's staying north, in domain of Ndhzengas territory, encountering stronger Kambulas.

Hope the young boy is fine.

Yeah, I hope he isn't injured as well. He was underneath a bunch of lions for a minute.

Great news that Skorro Jr. is ok. This male is a good warrior, I think that if he had a partner, he would have given a big fight defending Ottawas.

He's going to get a real, good fight soon.  He better be quick at whatever moves he makes (Twisting, turning, biting, etc) too, because 2 against 1 is no joke.
Are there any lone, big males looking for a partner roaming around Sabi Sands right now?

Not really any lone males, got a few young males wondering around but they have brothers nearby.

He needs to be careful with the Ximhungwe female now  because Nkuhuma male & Nhenha will be back at some point.

There are 8 lionesses in the Kambula Pride, 4 older and 4 younger. I don't see any way the Styx from 3 lionesses and a couple of sub adults can become stronger unless the Kambula split and even then, it would be difficult to weaken them as they will grow their pride over time as well.

2 oldest, currently separated Kambula young males are at the age where they could form a coalition with other nomads, especially if they dont reunite.

You just have to count, there is 14 members in the styx pride, more than the kambula pride and the sub adults won't stay subadults all their lives so there will be a moment in the futur where the styx pride will be stronger. Even if the kambula pride have cubs in the meantime they'll have to wait a couple of years for the cubs to grow like the styx pride is waiting for their subadults to grow.
