There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Hey my friend. I moved your post into this thread, due the fact, these are the Sand river pride cubs. (old sighting)

This it's an old video, I don't know from which year/month. But was confirmed by the photographer to be an old video. Back in the day, the S.Avoca males and Sand River pride used to spend a lot of time around Tengile. In fact, 4 days ago, one of the two S.Avoca male was seen there.

He is massive. Do we know from which pride he was born, and possibly who his father<s> were?

Aunt Ottawa was apparently killed by Senha and Nkuhuma, and the other lioness Othawa is still missing, apparently also dead, a very hard loss.https://instagram.com/stories/dulinilodge/2908828325829586071?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=

Some photos from Karin van der Merwe of the "two plus one" pride back in 2011.

This was the older female, she was accompanied by a younger female and a younger male (presumably her offspring)

The Male in September 2010. Karin reported he was in bad shape with an injured leg while suffering from loss of condition. The above female was seen 4 months later mating with the Majingilanes so not sure what became of him in the end.

They also had a younger female who died on the open area in front of the Nkorho Cam. They checked her body afterwards and found she had a wound on her inner thigh that became infected.

The two original Othawa females at Singita, 2001
The lioness in the back, It's very likely the mother of Auntie Othawa, she was said to be also the mother of Othawa T (Mapogo son)
