There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
In my humble opinion, i think they will be back. As a united front; they have recently been on patrol in Inyati before going further towards the East. They may just be exploring other areas. I do think the PCMs are the reason for them going further towards the East.
They have chased one another back and forth i heard, Nhenha by himself. Then when alone, Nkuhuma male was caught alone and escaped & Nhenha was able to face them in a minor altercation and then got away unscathed.
I think as a unified front and not alone, they are much more likely to return to their old stomping grounds despite the PCMs presence.
Those PCM's are beasts at just 5 years old. They are very determined. They are doing an incredible job so far!

In the end it doesn’t matter what we think, lodges and reserves give names, they decided stick with Ximhungwe, and thats end of the story.
And I agree with them, why ditch Ximhungwe pride name whe there is still 1 member of that lineage left? It makes 0 sense.
Gingerella is anyways Othawa outcast/breakaway, so it doesn’t matter if she is now under name Ximhungwe pride or some 3rd "new" name, because Othawa pride name is behind her.

Setting new name for that pride is ditching. Is naming Birmingham young male Mongawane male also ditching his name? No. Anyone who ask about Mongawane coalition gets to know it is coalition made of Torchwood and Birmingham male, neither male is striped of his origins, while if Othawa female is named (wrongly, regardless you want it or not) it is ditching her name.
Also you want to change real changes - demising Ximhungwe pride streight lineadge by rewriting other unrelated female name. It is like we would name one of current Kambula pride breakaway as Sparta pride just because it was great pride and some would want the name of the pride to remain.
By the way guys. If lets say Othawa female will give birth and Ximhungwe female won't and in lets say 2 years the pride will compose of those two adult females + 3 female daughters of Othawa female so in fact group will compose in 80% of Othawa lineage then sitll you will think it will be apropriate to call it Ximhungwe pride or perhaps in such case it would be apropiate to change name into Othawa breakaway (or whatever). We can go even further and lets say in those next 2 years Ximhungwe female will pass away and the group will be made in 100% of Othawa breakaway lineage then still you would call that group Ximhungwe pride even through in fact that pride would have nothink to do with true Ximhungwe pride?

I said this, until Ximhungwe is alive and has offspring.
If Ximhungwe dies and doesnt continue her blood, then yea, Ximhungwe name should end.
Its yet to be see how will this go.

Coalitions are different, as males move form their natal pride and has nothing to do anymore with them or their lineage.
But as i said, their naming is not on us, so this discussion is pointless.

Switching name of the pride over time lol

Only difference I see is that unrelated males join up with each others much more often. It is very rare that unfamilar lionesses join up with each others.

Two WildEarth viewers are currently in the northern sabi sands. One was told (presumably by the guides) that the S8 Male has been done in by the PCM and it's likely he's not going to survive. PCM are obviously in the west right now so wasn't them. A second guest is saying (presumably also via the guides) that it was instead DM and the two boys who did the deed. Another strange account given the young boys ages and that they looked pretty much unscathed in Deon Wessels reel apart from one having a gash on his thigh. Not sure yo
Both accounts sound incredible. PCMs as you say moved further West. DM is in such a bad shape he is barely walking. Hard to believe he would participated in such an attack.

My friend, I don't see incredible that a 3 vs 1 would cause severe injuries to the 1, even that DM is not at his best condition.
Anyway, they're only rumors. If true, it is so sad for S8, we just have to wait.
Greetings!!
this story is very confusing, from what they say the youngs kambula could also be in the area, and weeks ago a meeting between S8 and male kruger was reported, the young talamati are big but I don't see them with confidence to the point of killing a big lion as the male s8 would be a big surprise even more without marks so evident
