Nkuhuma Pride. Talamati boy and two Mhangeni boys are still with them. All lions following buffalo's, and they follow them up the north, to Buffelshoek.

They were a coalition that didn't have much luck and wasn't very sucessful, but they were for sure good looking male lions.

Hope we get to see how this young fellow develops as well as the young Nkuhuma male and the two Mangheni if they are accepted by the pride

Is this young Talamati male the only Selati male offspring left ?

One of the Londolozi blog articles from the past few days by Peter Thorpe touches on the Mhangeni pride, their cubs and the sub adult males who were kicked out at the end of 2017.

The two remaining Ximhungwe lioness are daughters of the Selati.  They had a brother (son of Selati) but I don't know what happened to him.

The five are perfectly positioned to inherit large swathes of Sabi Sands in a few years time as the Birminghams decline, and it will be intriguing to see if there'll be claws or kisses when all five bros eventually meet.

5 october, Djuma

Early morning Djuma rangers found part of Nkuhuma pride - adult lioness, 3 subadult lionesses and 1 sub adult male (Nkuhuma young male), they gone to Arathusa. Djuma rangers also found one of the Avocas, and he gone to Little Gowrie. We dont know where rest of the Nkuhuma pride are.

We think that Avocas chased them, and Nkuhumas spilted up. Avoca males probably are not happy that a lot of young males hanging around Nkuhumas..

Short glimpse of that big male..

@jordi6927   hmm.. I didnt see any wound or fresh scrathes, so I dont think that he had a fight with another male. He will be fine very soon.. I think Wink

Today (8 october) we had Mhangeni Boys in Djuma! and they had a warthog kill and very full bellies. They were alone, without Nkuhuma Pride.
