SYM was with the elder Kambula female from the Kambula pride, the mother of K12 female and K6 male.

Kambula pride has chased SYM and K12 already recently, if ( unsurprisingly ) not even her sisters and mother accepted her after so long, her aunts from the Ntsevu pride won't. It was K6 female who originally chased K12 when she tried to rejoin as a sub, back when Kambulas were a single pride.

Anyway, best thing for K12 right now would join forces with the Talamati female.

And as for SYM, I doubt his fathers even remember him, he'd be seen as a random young male and probably killed if Ndhzengas are in bad mood.

According to the information in the post the Kruger male was seen trying to mate with Nkuhuma lionesses. Southern Black Dam male is said to have been with the subadults.

Well then, that didn’t last long. Looks like the cub is already in serious danger. Got a lot of respect for the Kruger Male, trying to claim the North as a lone male is pretty much impossible unless he takes territory on Sabi Sands / Manyeleti border like S8 had and then maybe it could work, but u still have Kambulas lurking even then.

I hope he gets to successfully sire atleast one more litter, great genes to pass around.

One thing that wasn’t mentioned in that message from the Skhu report, ‘he’s been good to the BDM and NK YM.’ Guessing this means he’s tolerating their presence while also trying to court the Nkuhuma females, which is surprising given him being very vocal and showing acts of dominance. Maybe the lions in the area don’t see the BDM as an established pride male (which he isn’t but I wouldn’t expect them to know that straight away) despite his presence with the pride, but more so as an outcast and nowhere near a threat.

I liken that situation to the one with Skorro Jr and the Mangheni, at this point.

Michael Spain - Kirkman's Kamp, September 2024

new additions to the Sand River pride
"The lion photos were special as we were following two rhinos when we noticed a barely-visible lion in tall grass. We went over to look for her and found a den where she was with her newborn cubs (2 days old). Once we identified the site, we left and no visitors will be allowed to this site for the next 6 weeks to give the cubs to grow and to not stress the mother"

One of the father of the cubs, Snip Tail Nkuhlu #2
"The male lion is the King for obvious reasons when you see him up close and personal. This beautiful animal was out early with his brother as the morning sun cast the “golden hour” light on him. He walked right by us (about 4 feet away) and his strength and confidence oozed from him. Here is a close up of him sitting by the side of the river running through the camp"

tbt - May 2007

One of the mighty Rollercoaster males | Son to the West Street males ; Half brother to the Mapogos ; Grandfather to the Selatis
This male eventually fell victim to a crocodile shortly after those pictures, during june 2007, making the once coalition of six down to a single member.

Floppy Ear has really accelerated with his development recently, he’s becoming an impressive male.

That Rollercoaster male also has a strong resemblance to Kinky Tail, could be some truth in the claims KT & Mr T are in fact sons of the Rollercoasters and not WSM but guess it’s hard to tell as they’re all related anyway.

Interesting, when I saw the three images in the middle I thought " I can see some similarities to MrT"
I know one of them was really similar to KT tho
But as you said, they are either half brothers or father/Son
So its normal for them to be similar

May he rest may they all rest. They were all family I saw similarities. Not to the two youngest.
