"The four young Ottawa sub-adults managed to kill two large male Wildebeest in one of the clearing while they were fighting.  Even more impressive was they managed to hold off 8 hyena over night and are still feeding in the carcasses!"

Early this morning we were alerted to the presence of #lions when we heard 1 individual calling as the air was still cold & misty, so sound travelled quite a way. It was not long before we found them.  They were moving around, smelling almost every bush as they walked past.
Plain camp males.

Return of the Plains Camp males, 1 year older and bigger and at the age when they might start to challenge other males..

"The older male of the Othawa Sub-Adults. These 4 young lions have done extremely well for themselves in this short period of time. We found them yesterday with not one, but two wildebeest to feed on!!!"

Othawa sub-adults after 5:20, later a note that they consider Hairy Belly passed away after month of no sighings and update with footage of Mhangenis, pretty much the story we already know from Singita, one cub left.

Some nice footage! Good to know the mangenis have new cubs now at least.

How many years has the Othawa male been with them and how many litters have they gone through?
