There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Powerful boys!

At only 5 years of age this young and his brother make up the famous Mahiwa boy duo are the definition of huge males, totally awesome bodies.... These boys have the genes of Kwandwe the biggest male in Madikwe, how impressive this duo will be when they reach their peak (prime).

The Baggage Handlers coalition males from Hwange!
This young coalition as mentioned in previous posts today dominate the Ngamo plains between the Bomani area and Camelthorn, the names that make up this coalition are Lesang the eldest and head of the coalition he is the best known as he is the last son of the Cecil male, then there is Half Tail is the youngest male in the coalition and then the remaining 3 are Delta, Qantas and Virgin.
The Baggage Handlers' - why, you may well ask, do they have that name? Quite a story: - in August 2018 they were youngsters around Linkwasha airstrip. The five youngsters took a bag that was in the open pod of an airplane that was parked on the airstrip and distributed the contents all over the airfield. Since then, they have been known as The Baggage Handlers!

These males are still young and have a promising future. Hopefully, they will have some luck and the park will provide some security as Hwange National Park has a long history of poaching its animals.

"Lesang and Tegwane" the matriarch of the Ngamo pride, Lesang was the name of the chef to whom the bag belonged as well.

"Half Tail and Delta", the smallest and youngest of all are the one known as Half Tail, it is obvious why he was so named, he is the most playful and affectionate with his siblings.

"Delta", he is recognized by small notches on his left ear and a pair of scars on the right side of his face above his right eye.

"Qantas" has an unscarred face and a small notch in his right ear

A lioness with a HUGE male are feeding together on a carcass with numerous hyenas in the background impatiently waiting for a chance to get some scraps.

This is a clear example of the benefits a dominant male in his prime provides to a lion pride. The hyena clan had no choice but to wait.

Shame, but thats the way the nature works, even us humans are killing ourselves over territory for thousands of years..

Props for his brother for trying to save him, but he is nowhere near the size to match those males..

Does anyone has photos of those 2 Addo boys? I cant find any..
