This is a map of Londolozi. The arrows detail the Majingilane chasing the Matimbas off.

This one shows the territory the Majingilane had when they conquered the land.

And this one detailed how their territory had expanded through the years.

I just found this map of the Manyeleti Reserve, it's the first time I see one. This is to the north of the Sabi sands.

i just would like to suggest to post all those photos/maps as Attached Files and not to insert them as an image. When you insert an image you actually use the link to that particular image.

but if the image is removed from the internet it will be deleted automatically from this thread.
so it is better to download the image to your hard disk and then Attach it to your post, so it will remain on the "WildFacts" website forever.

@LionKiss , A better way is to use upload image button (use the third icon from last (having letter "i" with black background )). It uploads the image in Imgur server which is much more reliable than inserting image or attaching image from wildfact.

thanks @sanjay,

I was wondering if we can make a Historic Map of the places Mapogos were born, grew up as cubs, subadults, the areas they gradually conqured, the split between them, the different places they died.

It could be a map with only numbers on it (1,2,3 etc...) and under the map the explanation of what each number is about,

it could be something not very difficult to do, for someone who knows the story.

Thanks for the suggestion LionKiss, We have details of mapogos but there are some problems -
There are not much information and images of Mapogos childhood. They were first reported in 2006, when they were sub adult nomads. Even I don't have information about the parents of them.
Secondly we need an expert who not only knows about these lions but also know african geography (or atleast the Londolozi area), so that he can map the incidents clearly on maps.
With time, we will have more knowledgeable members and they might be able to this.

Mhangeni Pride/Tsalala Breakaway Pride, these are dominated by the Majingilane. Another page for them: Tsalala Breakaway Pride

Tsalala/Marthly Pride of Lions: The original Tsalala pride, also called Marthly pride by Mala mala. I think some of the females of these pride were mating with the Matimba males.

Sparta/Eyrefield Pride Updates: The Sparta or Eyrefield pride, as mala mala calls them. These are now dominated by the Matshapiri males.

Ximhungwe/Castleton Lion Pride: The Ximhungwe pride consist of 4 sub adults, fathered by the Selati males. The adult females were killed by the Othawa pride.

Southern Pride Lions: Also called Selati pride, these are dominated by the Charleston males now(or at least they are trying to do it jaja, these girls like it rough).

Charleston Lion Pride: One lioness, she is the aunt of the two Charleston males. She hangs around with the Charleston male with the hanging tooth.

Fourways Lion Pride: This pride is also under dominance of the Matshapiri males.

Nkuhuma Pride of Lions: These were under the dominance of the Matimba males until the arrival of the Birmingham males.

Styx Pride of Lions: As the Nkuhumas, these are under the dominance of the Birmingham males.

I think it would be great to have a lion directory where we can actually identify number of individuals from each pride, Im sure the anonymous dedicated viewers would love that! Great idea Lionkiss.

this is  great job with lot of info

the problem is that you get confused because all Coalitions/Pride are in one thread.
I believe in order to have a historical register which can be red easily by the viewers we need one single thread for each Pride/Coalition.
THis would need the mods here to create a sub-forum under the name "The Lion Directory" where all those new threads will be opened and enriched with info,
it is necessary to create a subforum because if we create so many different threads in the "Lion" it will be a real mess.

Probably @Majingilane will give us some tips
