Buffalo Calf (seems this is calf we saw earlier, the only calf in the herd)

*Seems like no one will eat until the males get their lion share, it's only K4 that is eating. *
Good to see that Nkuhumas is comfortable around the Kambulas.

Looks like K6 is now new partner of K5 for roaming around.

James said that K3 was a 'good-looking chap'. Hard to disagree.

K3 do really look like a blondie compared to his other brothers, do not know if K1 or K2 is this light.

Kambula Coalition and Nkuhuma Pride

Two Kambula Males is with the Nkuhumas specifically K3 and K4, whole Nkuhuma Pride is with them and quite surprising the Nkuhuma Young Male is again being tolerated there. K3 and 6 females and 1 young male is in Chitwa while K4 and RNd is in Djuma.
K3 Mating with Nkuhuma Female in Chitwa:

Little Amber did come near to K3 to mate but K3 seems unimpressed, but he did mate with the other female. (Little Amber is on the right while K3 and the other lioness is mating.)

If K6 and K5 don't reunite soon so all 4 can roar together, Kambulas have a negative chance of making this thing with the Nkuhumas work this time.

I really hope all 4 can reunite soon with the NK, don't leave to roam around and finally stand their ground if need be.

Gotta see them being successful like their older brothers are being.

Looks like K3 & K4 didnt get pushed by Mantimahle sons this time, they where/are in close proximity for days/week, close enough for Mantimahles to see that NK girls are in estrus, but they didnt push for them as far as we know.

Not sure where are other 2, prob further south, around Londolozi, strange that K6 left, he looked like one of more dominant, but looks ike K3 took his place in hierarchy, these things change fast.

I think we dont have info if older ones control any prides, they where seen mating here and there around Nyamundwa Dam, but thats about it.

Now they moved further south - southwest.

I had thought they were with lionesses. Like four Kambula male lions they are strong lions moving around. I wonder if the four Kambula male lions would split? It seems it might happen? they come and go then are together. Older Kambula male lions are with an older male lion and very strong and black mane. I would think they would be with some lionesses and cubs.

indeed. K6 seemed the second most interested in mating, right after K4. All of a sudden he and K3 changed "roles", now K6 following K5 to Londolozi (apparently) and K3 with Nks.
Indeed those things change impressivily fast.

I thought the same, looked like they were territorial but ofc we always had too little on the 3 to claim them as pride males or whatever, unfortunately thats part of trying to keep up with Kruger lions in more somewhat remote areas.

About Kambulas splitting... Its possible ofc but i think its unlikely.
Being scattered especially when some are more interested in mating and others not as much is normal.

K5 seen in Shirleys Property

With K5 seen in Shirleys Property maybe K6 is not that far from him and K3 and K4 is last seen in Chitwa and Djuma mating with the Nkuhumas so it seems a reunion is about to happen.

Yes I think they separate, but interest makes them move. I wonder if K6 went with K12 his sister. K12 has not been with young Styxt male lion.
