Epic sighting of the 4 Kambula males on a misty Sunday morning ??@chitwachitwa

What an epic misty morning meeting the 4 Kambula males! It started off with @jordz_of_the_jungle hearing male vocalisation and after investigating we found the Kambula returning other lions vocalisations. These boys are in great condition and the previously injured male has healed incredibly well.

(It was said in the comments that they are most likely responding to roars at Londolozi side).

K5 roaring and scent marking, now we are rolling.

Jokes aside, K4 looks better, they look decisive, great sighting.

If they continue roaring and scent marking, new clash with Mantimahles is inevitable, hope this time they stand their ground.

This is fantastic, they are, finally, beginning to act together! If they remain together, this could spell troubles for the duos who have had their sights on the north.

The boys indeed look like they've made up their minds on claiming the North. My question, though, is whether the Mantimahles would be motivated/interested enough to respond seriously, as they seem to have their paws full with the Imbali pride lately.

Unfortunately I don't think this is anything knew, they have been doing this since 2023 and yet here we are, I wouldn't get my hopes high.

A guide said they were moving south to Londolozi.

But well, we'll see, I hope I'm wrong and they finally do something, I'd wish for them to take over Nkuhuma, Tsalala and Mangheni if they were to have enough strength to protect them, a big coalition with enough numbers might be what these prides need to finally prosper in a safe environment.

Yes they have moved/headed to Londolozi as guides have said that the Kambula responded with roars to other males roars that came from the direction of Londolozi.
Hoping again they do not fully go South again and just stay at North again and claim the parts that the other coalition in the area haven't really claimed.

Four male lions would help. Wonder if Talamatie lion and Nukhuma would be with Mangheni. Young Talamatie male lion was with a Mangheni lioness.

I would like for Kambula male lions to be with Nukhuma, Imbali, Talamatie lioness.

I read on comments Imbali lioness may have Kambula cubs. I was going to say Kambula male lions are related to Mangheni lioneses. A lot of lioneses in Sabi Sands are related to them. Mangheni lionesses I would think they are more related to Kambula lioneses than other lioneses?  Lioness related to Kambula and Birmingham; Tinya lioness is daughter of Mapogo daughter may she rest.

Agree, they left the north without really any pressure before so I can’t even have faith in these boys until I see this on a whole new consistent level.

I think it is likely a matter of time before they have an altercation again, and I think it’s one they have to win for their own confidence.

Only potentially interesting thing would be them aswering the roars of "other lions" as reported, if these are male lions and not nomadic NK and Talamati, it could be a hint that they'd be willing to challenge a strong duo.

Still, this would be a veeeery optimistic take, more than likely they'll just follow the next buffalo herd to Sabi Sabi.
