I don't think I've shared this video of Faculto male, one of the new dominant males at Aurora, taken by Ricardo Ortiz from Panthera. He hasn't been online for a while so I'm still expectant of his opinion on how these jags compare to Pantanal ones:

Macharão 1 Cerrado male jag.

''Jaguar captured in Emas National Park (PNE), central Brazil with a cage trap baited with a live pig. Note that the cage is not properly designed. The jaguar should not have access to the cage bars as they may allow the animal to bite and injure itself. A metal mesh over the bars is recommended to prevent injuries. Someone had posted this screenshot of this jaguar a long time ago and it appears as though the video they belong to has been taken down or I can't find it. This jaguar is a beast, at first I thought it could be Adriano but something tells me it's a different male:

Impressive specimen, you're right That's not Adriano. that thick neck reminds me a bit Assassino onto the horse.

@Dark Jaguar that might be one the most impressive cats I have seen period, not just jaguars. Imagine how much he probably weights, and males like that who might not be tracked are hiding all across Pantanal and Llanos.

Too bad Many of them will be gone without being weighed and verified. This male look 140kg to me.

Two jaguars were mating, the male was disturbed by the presence of the boats so he charged at them to make them back off
