I actually watched the live where they discussed their release into the wild, they confirmed to me that Felino actually weights 138 kg and is one of the heaviest jaguars tracked by Oncafari! They also shared about jaguar cannibalistic behavior, including the rates in which jaguars kill each other, including fighting females (predation on cougar was observed as well). Yeah there's even a documentary they shown alot on TV here about Fera and Isa's rehab to be reintroduced into the wild. I am aware of these canibalistic behaviors but These jaguars have to be more studied, the Refúgio da Ilha Ecolodge project is an amazing project which is partner of Onçafari and they're covering an area of Pantanal the ''Delta do Salobra-Pantanal'' the more areas covered the better for us to learn more about them and in this area there are some robust males like Prainha male and Neo male, Júlia female you may already know she's the one I posted a few days ago calling her cub on a rare sighting by Refúgio da Ilha Ecolodge project. About the lives there will be some amazing ones coming: Onçafari will present the ''OnçaTalks'' from May 18th until May 22nd it will be live at 6:30PM ( Brazilian timezone ). Also on May 23rd Onças do Iguaçú Project will be with a fantastic live as well The ''Bafo de Onça'' ( a brazilian expression meaning: Jaguar's bad breath ) some of the guests will be the coordinator of the Argentinian Proyecto Yaguareté and the upmost jaguar expert Peter Crawshaw himself. I was speaking today with some biologist who studies Llanos ecology about jaguars in the area, one of the questions I made was in regard to the presence of feral horses in los Llanos, they said that predation on them could be occurring but they haven't tracked the kills so the rates of predation aren't clear. As I get more information I'll make sure to post on here.

Juru is such a beautiful jaguar, here he is stalking capybara. He might not be the bulkiest but he is very athletic and has a large frame which explains his large weight.
